Hey all! My name is Jules and I'm a practicing witch. My practice involves tarot, herb uses, and energy readings. I really enjoy creating jar spells for friends and loved ones, and I'm always down to do readings for friends. I was just wondering if anyone else out here practices, or is interested in practicing?
Nice to meet you too! What do you like to work with?
yes! I'm a initiated shaman-priest in indigenous korean tradition. :)

That's amazing! Can you explain some of it?
hi, i practice! i'm mostly an energy worker, but i dabble in a lot of other kinds of witchcraft too. death + spirit work is probably my runner up (i work with bones a lot), and i've been wanting to mess around with the astral, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
i've done a few spell bottles before! i also have two tarot decks, both of which resonate with me pretty well, but i'm bad at remembering to actually do anything with them. i also used to do lots of tea-related magic, but i've fallen out of it.
RubidiumTarot is my favorite form of divination, I have three decks and an oracle deck that I love as well.
I've never done death or spirit work before though! How did you get into it?
Hello, someone called? XD
I'm mostly a kitchen witch, but I dabble a bit in other bits like tech, green, sigil and divination-based witchcraft, especially tarot, shufflemancy and bibliomancy.
ahh, fun! my partner has an oracle deck, i've used it a few times but it's harder for me to interpret.
as for how i got into death work - death work came out of an interest in bones and feathers, which eventually led to me coming in close contact with dead things. ironically enough, i still don't know how much i believe in ghost-style spirits, but i can say that dead things sometimes have some lingering bad energy. so, a lot of my death work is just a matter of trying to settle that energy, the most common example being pulling animals off the road and trying to show them what respect i can. the rest is just borrowing the properties of bones/feathers/etc. i take care of for spells!
as for spirit work, like i said before i'm still not sure where i stand on ghosts (as in, spirits directly stemming from something that died), but i definitely believe in other kinds of spirits! i kind of stumbled backwards into spirit work, because i ended up with a spirit guide early in life and eventually just wanted to try and communicate with them better. it all just went from there!
do you mind if i ask how you got into the craft? :o
oh, i love green magic!! i have a ton of plants, and i used to do more with them. tech magic is tons of fun too ^^
Rubidium
It's mostly just a dabble, I have trouble keeping stuff alive if it's more complicated than some lettuce in a glass of water it seems but I'm trying XD
Tech magic is honestly my favorite of the bunch though. There's so much you can do with it, and so many ways to make it subtle for reasons :D
I've always been fascinated my witchcraft! I grew up in Massachusetts, and they really hammer in the whole Salem Witch Trial fiasco in schools around here, especially when the Governor officially named all the victims innocent in the early 2000s. That fascination was bolstered in college when my best friend read my cards for the first time, and the rest is history! Now that I have my own place, it's much easier to get involved with my craft. My man and my roommate regularly ask me for witchy help, and I absolutely love being the on-call witch for my friend group.
Your death work sounds fascinating! I've always been too squeamish to do things like that.
- how does bibliomancy work? I love my tarot and I've used runes before, but never bibliomancy :)
It's not so different from cards, really, but instead you're using a book. I keep a few favorites on hand but sometimes people bring their own books too or have a favorite out of my collection they want me to use. Instead of shuffling cards once the question is asked it's just sort of letting intuition do its thing as you open the book and put your hand/fingers on the open pages and read the passage they're indicating. Then take it in context of the question and the book itself and use that to do a reading. It sounds more complicated than it is, honestly XD
oooh that sounds amazing, I'm going to have to give that a try! I love finding new ways to use divination. Runes don't work too well for me, but I feel like bibliomancy could be a good fit for me.
Yeah, runes don't work so well for me either. I love the aesthetic, but I can't ever seem to read them as well as I do other forms of divination. Hopefully bibliomancy will work out for you a little better like it did for me XD
I am working on it, When I worked at Kohls I had a psychic come up to me and say i am a very powerful empath. She said she was worried for my health because its been affecting me negatively, making my depression worse. I do tend to feel others emotions, I am currently trying to delve in to all things witchy. I like learning, my boyfriend and I do Tarot but hes better, he says im more of a healing witch, which is why broken people gravitate towards me. I mostly work with crystals and water. I have a huge collection of them.
quartz crystals are really good for empaths! They're one of the few crystals that can absorb and store energy. Whenever I'm feeling overwhelmed, I use my quartz as a focal point when I'm meditating or praying or just need an outlet. Visualize the negativity into the crystal and then cleanse it to release it. Just make sure you actually cleanse the crystal, or else you'll be carrying the negative energy around with you :)
I am still learning about all of that heh. My boyfriend told em when he first met me he believes me to be a witch. I am just unlearned, and have no idea what I am doing. I just know I can sometimes pick up on others emotions and random thoughts pop into my head that arent mine? They feel out of place. I feel others pain as well. Hospitals for me are the worst, they make my anxiety skyrocket. I am drawn to many crystals, they make me feel calm, i just dont know how to use them
if you're on tumblr, the witchcraft community there is a great resource for exploring what kind of craft that could work for you. Once you know what you're interested in, it's easier to google things and learn!
Hello everyone! I'm not actually a witch or anything, I'm just trying to find my spirituality I guess? If that makes sense? I do have a physical tarot deck and I also have an app on my phone for days when I'm on the run. If anyone is willing and interested, may I ask how you found out/decided/discovered you were a witch? I don't really know what I believe in but I'm open to exploring different things.

I've been dabbling in this on and off for a few years. I consider myself eclectic. It's nice to see that there are a few of us around and if anyone who love to chat, I'm always excited to learn some new things :)
