I have been having problems with some items not showing on my persona. The dress the wardrobe shows wearing is called Aged Fabric of Untimely Demise but as you can see my persona is naked. I have the same problem with other wearables. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Do you own the Aged Fabric of Untimely Demise? If so, how recently was it added to your wardrobe? It can sometimes take hours for the cache to catch up when you add items.

If the problem is that you don't own the items, you can click the button on the right side of the items that says "only show items you own."

You can make HAs from items you don't own and save them as a shared outfit, but you can't "wear now" - it will remove them from your HA.

in order to wear an item on your persona (as opposed to a created Shared Outfit) you need to actually own the item in question.

Aged Fabric of Untimely Demise is a Custom Wearable, so you probably don't own a copy. There's a checkbox in the upper right of the Item Filters on the Items page of your Wardrobe. Click it. This box always defaults to 'show everything' so if you ever need to clear your cache/cookies (something I do a lot) you will need to remember to click that box again.

I don't understand what the point is of having custom items in the wardrobe if you can't wear them. Thank you, it solved the problem.

the point is to be able to "try them on" and see if you can work with the items before you spend a ton of sp or CSC on them.

There are plenty of times where I thought an expensive item would look great on my HA, but I turned out to be wrong and didn't waste my funds. Other times, it does work and I gladly spend the funds.

Other people sometimes make "dream HAs" and save them so they can gradually work on acquiring the items.

There's a lot of reasons one might want to be able to test out items you don't own. Sorry it frustrated you.

nothing stops you overtly from owning or wearing any particular Custom Wear. Custom Wears were originally intended to be for personal expression, so any CW creator doesn't have to sell any copies of any wear that they themselves have created to anyone else beside themselves and maybe their friends if they like. In return, they pay Subeta real cash money that keeps this site open and running.

Some CWs that may have started out exclusive or limited release end up being sold second-hand. Sometimes this is through the group buysellCW and sometimes through usershops. If you really like that dress, ask around and keep your eyes peeled.
