Hello, friends.

I realize that this is a fairly random question but I would really appreciate any help. Does anyone have some knowledge of antique furniture? I have a couple items that I think are antiques but I don't know how to go about selling it, or what a fair price would be. Any advice or suggestions appreciated!

Are there any markings on any of the pieces? Any names of any kind? If it's an antique, it'll most likely have the maker's name stamped somewhere in a place like the bottom of a drawer or the back of a cabinet. Once you know the name, then you can Google what similar pieces are going for. If there's an antique shop in your area, or a reputable pawn shop, taking the pieces in for an evaluation is another place to start, or if the pieces are really large/hard to carry in, take detailed pictures to show the dealers.

- My advice to you that I can add, the name should be on the back or on the bottom of one of the draws. You can take that name and search online. (Stamped, burnt in debossed stamp or a sticker). Even if you do or don't have a name try digging deeper by searching for: "antique" or "vintage" and what the piece is. If you have a date or style or period, try adding those words to your search. Just look through google image search and something may pop up that was once listed online at an auction site for example.
