There are 453 online atm and the lag is DIRE. Why is this so with so few people? When will it be fixed? It's taking a minute per quest. I don't have time. I will only get through a quarter of the dailies if that. It takes the joy out of all the great festivities Subeta is putting on.

Staff is doing their best ™ I have been here for soon 10 years and I am past the angst regarding lags during major events (or not major events, whatsoever). I'm surprised it keeps getting worse, even if we are nowhere close to 1k users playing at a time. I guess there are broken things that breaks everything else in the process. Or the servers of a servers of a servers we just moved on is suffering or whatever.

Tbh: I collect Melody, do Ian's quest and collect my bathhouse reward on a daily basis. That's about it. If it lags too much, I just leave. However, I have stopped investing my money into Subeta. I don't believe in the site thriving nor living in the long run. I do love the site, but it's going places I don't want to follow.

I was going to buy some CSC with real money as a Yule present to myself but I've changed my mind. I'm starting to feel the site is so broken now it's beyond repair.

I would't be at all surprised if the site closes although I hope I'm wrong. It's been a part of my life for just over 14 years.

Needless to say, I'm disappointed that the thread I made about two weeks ago remains extremely relevant to this day. I've played Subeta far less than I normally would in December because I simply can't play or the forums are hanging or the wardrobe isn't loading or what have you.

I just can't and I have other things I could be doing instead of waiting on whatever server to get its crap together for ten minutes before it dies again. In my time on Subeta, I've never seen lag this persistent and it's disappointing that for all the time, money and effort put in by members and staff alike, it's not going anywhere or getting any better. Or it gets better then it's back worse an hour later.

The lag is making it impossible to do quests. I can't imagine trying to do the Wizard right now :c I just wish that the staff would, like. Idk. Let us know they're still working on it?

That said, there's literally no reason to think the site's going to just disappear. I don't get that line of thought.

Staff are telling people that it's being worked on in the relevant Problems & Bugs topic.

Today has been the worst by far in terms of lag, but it seems to have cleared up for the time being. :/ I can only hope that it'll clear up because this is very annoying and frustrating for both users and staff.

This is already a vicious cycle.

Staff/Keith says they did a major update -> lag taking over half of a event -> staff says "we are on it" -> more every day lag

Subeta has always been extremely laggy and prone to downtime. It's persisted throughout coding changes, server changes, and a decade. I honestly just wonder what it is about this site that causes it to lag so much, if it continues despite what seems like the staff's best efforts to fix it. It is very discouraging.

Saaaaame. I joined 5 years ago, and played a lot every day for a couple years. And I dropped a lot of money on pixel crap. But there were always so many problems with the site that never seemed to get resolved (and the staff kept adding NEW unfinished features which added to the list of problems). It took at least a YEAR after the new wardrobe was released for me to be able to use it properly, bc I was stuck dealing with random shuffling layers, and that pretty much killed my interest. Why bother playing when I couldn't use my favorite feature, you know?

I've kept logging in every day, checking the news, etc. because every few months I get the urge to play again. I really like Subeta, it's a really fun game! But most of the time when I come back it's a laggy mess for no apparent reason and it's so frustrating.

It leaves me with so many questions, like a) why is the site so consistently screwed up? b) why hasn't things been fixed, it's been 84 years c) what's the deal with all the weird half-finished crap or things that have needed a revamp for a decade, are things that mismanaged on the back-end? d) am I going to show up one day and Subeta no longer exists?

Which of course means I'm definitely not comfy spending money on the site anymore, which makes the problem worse. -_-;

You guys do realize that after all this time the lag has become a feature of subeta, not a bug, right?

That said, the staff are communicating. Perhaps not in places that are visible to those who can't, oh I don't know, load the forums because of the lag... but they're trying.
