I sent in my key and plans for a steamwork Swampie on the 12th of this month. Its currently midnight, making it the 15th, 3 days later. I made sure I have a pet slot open. There's no indication of me having a pending pet or anything on the page, but idk if that's normal or not. My Swampie still hasn't appeared in my pet slot, and I'm wondering if its still too early or if I might have a glitch going on. Sorry to bother, I get paranoid. ;; I just want to make sure it worked.

I believe it takes exactly three days, so you'll get it at whatever time you started the process. If this is a new pet, you should be able to look up the name and it should show as belonging to an NPC account I think, if you want to make sure it's working (or at least it used to do that. I've only created one steamwork pet and it's been quite a while so I don't know for sure that it still does)

I have no idea what is normal for a steamwork pet. However, any staffer could answer your questions, so that is why I asked.
