I've checked my forum points several times - unless there's a delay for the total being updated we're getting fairies instead of points.

I'm not very happy about this. I need the forum points because I don't have many.

I don't think they stopped with the forum points, I know last year there was three different things you could get while posting. Faeries, forum points, and forum giftboxes. Sometimes you could get all three from one post.

Also staff could be adjusting the rates for all three.

I had a post earlier that gave me both a fairy and a forum point at the same time, so it should still be working.

Points are working, I got 5 today, fairies are just much more common

I've had another fairy but still no point.

Fairies used to be floating - I wish they hadn't changed the system for Luminaire because we still having floating Rreign stuff for Fireside.

PS - And yet another blankety blank fairy instead of a forum point. I'm getting really sick of it.

I wish floaties stayed floaties. For someone who tries for fairy achieves the frequency at which they show from posts isn't enough - I was getting achieves last year and ended up having to buy missing fairies. For someone who doesn't need them there's always the wondering "would I get a much more valuable forum post instead of the silly fairy just now?" Besides, I can't help but to read those things as "how to force people to post more even if they hate it" and I'm not super happy about it.

Fairies do NOT replace forum points. You can get both. Its sometimes hard to tell, because forum points are always scarce. But I've sometimes made more than 20 posts and not gotten a single point. Other times they come more often. Its pure luck and the fairies have no impact on your odds.

Oh, I'm glad fairies no longer float. By the end of Fireside I'm already tired of Red Rreign items, but when it went from Fireside right through the entire month of December with no end to floating items...

I'm pretty sure they just made the fairies more common because they are only available during this month anyway.

I usually only get like 1 or 2 forum points a day to begin with if I'm lucky (a lot of times none), so I'm not really noticing anything different in the drop rate for those.

I have gotten fairies at the same time as forum points and separately from forum points with a snow fairy all by themselves and forum points all by themselves without any snow fairy attached to them at all. They're not connected.

When snow fairies first came out, you'd be lucky to see seven all winter, they were that rare. The rate at which they drop has changed considerably throughout the years.

I haven't had a forum point in ages and I've been much more active on the forums recently. So I would say the forum points just aren't that common.

I keep track of my forum points every day and I've been getting the same amount of FP as usual. The fairies just appear a lot more frequently. Hope your luck improves soon!

Considering I don't even remember what fairies are for, I'd much rather have the forum points.

Forum points seem to be given out at about the same rate they always have. It's not even an either/or -- I've had at least one post where I got both, so they don't appear to be affecting one another.

The fairies are definitely teases. I keep getting excited only to realize it's just another fairy. But forum points are not being affected.

(Hitting user-run games pretty hard yesterday, I got 7 forum points and 43 fairies.)

Edit: Realizing some of those fairies were probably from REs too. So not sure how many fairies via forum posts. But you get the point... fairies = much more common than forum points.

I prefer fairies as floating items. I'm glad you made this post, though, because the responses tell me that they can be achieved alongside forum points and they do not replace forum points.
