I've noticed that when I throw something in the fire, he generally gives me something in return. But if I try to do it again right away/ too soon, I get 'burned'.
So, does anyone know the chances of throwing a Glade Potion into the Bonfire and getting a Harvest Potion back? I Really want a Harvest pet, but.... the difficulty in acquiring a glade potion in the first place... So, is it a guarantee? Should I do it at a certain time?
^_^' Any advice helps.. Thank you.
You get burned when you give him something with the word "wreathed" in the name. Or something he gave you - he doesn't like it when you return his gifts :).
The potion is guaranteed as far as I know.

FWIW I have chucked four Glades in there and always gotten Harvests out. The only time it's a problem is when they have activated the Battle Challenger Bandit. Bandit seems to be missing this year.
I thought Bandit was a one-time unlock (he's in my Events tab in the coli rn).
So I mean, if you don't have Bandit, maybe throw a whole bunch of things in the fire before the Glade Potion just in case :L
What/who exactly is Bandit? He has stolen everything I have thrown into the bonfire so far.. ;;
After a few items, you should unlock him as a battle challenger and he'll stop (last year's news comments say 3-4 items)
It's true that Bandit is now only supposed to be for new users. Nevertheless, I got attacked last year and the year before. My natural instinct is to chuck a few items in to see if I get a re-challenge just in case and Glade Potions are expensive. Floating items are cheap and less effort to toss in than file a Ticket in Help.
Some users who have been around for awhile still don't know stuff about certain holidays that they've never been part of for one reason or another and the OP might be new-to-Fireside and other readers new to the site might read this anyways so I thought it was worth a mention.
I'm not sure if you have to fight him, or if you fight him you have to win? But yes he becomes a Battle Challenger for the duration of the holiday, and when you actually fight him he is true to his name and he Steals your weapons a whole lot
[edit] also Bandit drops burnables as loot so it's worth fighting just for those to sell even if you don't need them youself
