Yep. Just put my toddler on the bus for the first time ever for his first day of preschool. He was sooooo excited. He loves learning new things. I just hope he will make some friends. He was supposed to start yesterday but he got sick so he was upset. :( I can't wait to hear about his day!
Any other moms going thru this recently? Were you nervous, scared, excited, anxious?
His teacher called and said he did so good. He has to get better with sharing though. But overall happy with it being his first day!
I am so proud especially after the phonecall from his teacher. They practiced tracing his name even though he already knows how to write it. He did great at taking turns too. :)
Not surprised on the sharing thing. All kids take time with that. LOL. Glad he had a good first day!!! <3 :D :D
That's exciting! Glad he had a good first day! The sharing thing is normal for that age. =)
That's good to know. Haha We try and work with it here at home too with his sister. We tell him he stopped playing with it so Sissy can since he was playing with something else. We put that and listening down as the goals.
The fact he has a great teacher that helps him thru his tantrums and that is great. We're thankful!
That's nice you have a good preschool teacher. That can make all the difference. =)
I remember when my first one went for the first time. I cried. did you?

Yes it can. I know no one from the district so I can't put in a say for a specific teacher like mom did for me growing up so the fact I can trust her with him is great. Definitely was a win to hear. She will be emailing us weekly to let us know of hid progress as well.
Awwe. I almost did! Daddy came for lunch (shhhh he was supposed to be at work) and about made me cry as he was about to cry. Think it was more about the unknown than anything. I missed him when he was gone but not hearing mom every 0.5 seconds was nice haha Baby sister was still just as clingy without him here.
maybe she'll grow out of it. being clingy I mean. Independence started early for my children.

I sure hope so. She is 1 and still doesn't like dad much. Lol I just want to be able to move more than 4-5 steps away without her crying and chasing me. I love the girl but man.... lol
In other news The bus was early today and the boy ran out in his socks. -facepalm- I had to tell him You need shoes on goob. Lol
lol, well at least he likes to go to school. hope that never changes.

I hope not either. Today he doesn't have school. Hoping he will not freak out over it. It must of been a long week because he is still sleeping. Though with this cold and white stuff on the ground I don't blame him sleeping in and being all cozy.
hope you take his picture of how he looks so cute all snuggled in a blanket lol. they are so innocent when they're sleeping.
no snow here just frigid cold. I do want a little snow for Christmas though.

Yep I did and sent it to dad. Going to have to wake him up or he will be wired all day! Lol
See that is about the only day I like it. I'm not a huge fan unless its after Thanksgiving and just a light covering so there are no scary accidents and that.
I went through it, too, getting mine all signed up for Kindergarten and whatnot. School started in August (SO NOT a nice thing when you live in the desert). Right now, with his dad being a bit overprotective, I play taxi driver for the boy... both to and from school. I imagine there will be yet another pull on the heartstrings when trust is placed in a bus driver to take care of his safe transport.
Each day does get a little easier, though. :)
I think theirs started in September or maybe August but I think they get new kids thru the year. We wish he started with other kids near the begining but the delay was due to his spedch therapy and they wanted him in a behavioral study and such.
Both his bus drivers and their aides are so nice! He is excited to ride the bus too so that helps. :) We may pick him up or take him from time to time but wanted him to get used to riding the bus too.
