Art Week

November 9th was GO TO AN ART MUSEUM DAY. More than 30,000 museums around the world participated, and each year even has a different theme. Especially for us Subetans, art enriches our lives and we love our talented artists who provide us with gorgeous wearables and items, let´s say thank you for making our world much more beautiful! However, there are so many different departments of art, taking pictures, modeling, painting, sewing, designing and and and... - we all should broaden our horizons and go visit more art museums and galleries in the future.

When I studied art in school Goya was my favorite artist.

Ohhh this is cool! I had a lot of fun trying to rebuild one of my fav pieces of art ... to a degree where I'm semi happy about it? xD

I'm actually working on a second one inspired by my other favorite paining, just for fun. XD

So I don't really have a favorite painting of a person, but I went with the next best thing. A painting of my favorite artist, with my favorite artwork behind him XD Outfit Not Found

Wow! This is so much harder than I thought it would be! I have so many I love that that was the first hard thing, trying to pick one! Then I went for one I thought would be easier to portray with Subeta items...wrong! I may edit this since I'm not completely pleased with it. I hope that's okay. I wanted to post it though in case I get busy & forget to edit. (Trying to clean house for family coming in for Thanksgiving!)

Anywhoo... this is loosely based off of an Impressionism piece called "Woman with a Parasol, facing right" by one of my favorite artists, the wonderful Claude Monet!

Although she is in fact facing left. I felt she matched the facing right painting better. Private Outfit

I'm the worst at picking favorites. I decided to try and limit my choices to... erm... 'mainstream,' well known artists and I went with Edward Hopper. I've always loved the clam melancholy nature of his images and his depictions of women in their day to lives. Instead of trying to recreate any specific Hopper picture I decided to try and make an HA that 'felt' like a Hopper painting if he could have painted a picture of woman today in her day to day life.

These aren't entries because they were pre-existing in my saved outfits but I wanted to share them anyways.

Yes, and with Fireside and BF going on, I know people have much to do. I plan a little break until the end of the month yet I don´t know if I can stick to it, thinking up contests is so much fun. :-)
