I wasn’t sure where to put this so please move my topic if it’s not in the right spot!
So, my fiancée has been wanting to go to New York for the longest time to see the Christmas decorations and snow (she’s from Texas and hasn’t ever seen it). So my big gift to her this year was going to be a surprise trip for next year. I wanted to put together a box with gloves, scarf, maybe a New York snow globe, etc. That being said, I need help with what to write on the inside of the box. It’s going to be kinda like those “will you go to ____with me” things. But I wanted it to be cuter and not as straightforward. I’m open to things that rhyme or poems. I just don’t know how to put words together for something like this. xD
Bonus points for anyone who has tips for traveling there also. I’ve never been before!

I don't have any suggestion for writing, but I'd say that id either of you like games, go to the Nintendo Store. Also around across from the entrance of the store there's a ramen place that is kinda hidden but is reaaaally good.
Oh, gracious. XD I'm afraid you're on your own for the "Will you go to ____ with me" because I'm not awake enough to be creative yet, it's somewhere in the ether of being mostly awake but not completely. XD
ALTHOUGH.
NYC! Been there twice, love it. Fully plan on going again when it's warm but not sweltering cuz the entire place is a heat island.
It's loud, energetic and expensive. But it's amazing. Just be practical like with all big cities, keep the very important things very close to you so if something does - God forbid - get stolen, it's not a huge deal. You'll be walking a lot or in a cab or the subway, have maps. Walk like you own the place, be assertive or you're gonna just get run over. The last time I was up in NYC, it decided to pour rain and that was fun because of the literal sea of umbrellas. Boldly go forward.
When my father and I went, we wound up in Times Square in a downpour and someone decided it was a good time to call 911 because the sirens just started going off and bouncing off all the buildings. Couldn't hear for ten minutes afterwards. That was the day that there was that fire in where they film the Late Show with Colbert.
But yeah, literally, the less you can take, the better. Have a backpack. Be practical. You'll be fine. -v-

A game or rhyme would be so cute! Good luck to you. I wish I could be creative. Mine would be like Next year around this holiday time Id like to travel somewhere with you by my side. You'll need these things inside this box and your favorite cozy socks. The place I want to go is in a song and a name of a food. I think you'll find traveling somewhere NEW is good.
Or some horrible thing that makes no sense and make every scentence start with a letter in New York and the end she has to write the capital letters down and rearrange the letters to determine where the destination is.
Here's an idea. Print out a picture of the both of you, and glue it onto a picture of the new York cityscape. With a caption "let's make this dream a reality" with the dates of flight or something like that. Bonus if you can draw/edit/glue little winter coats on.
For something free I suggest central park. It's great for people watching and pictures. For a fee there's a nice little zoo inside with a tropical bird house. Its like an awesome sauna in the wintertime. Right across the street is the natural history museum which can be a lil pricy to get in but worth it. Nearby is also the art museum and John Lennons mansion/memorial.
Also I definitely suggest waterproof boots for both of you, and dress warm! Go to the bathroom anywhere you can because there's a lot of walking to do and not always a guaranteed clean public bathroom.
