Keeping shop threads alive/bumping rules

The rules are listed that you cannot revive/bump a thread that is older than 3 months. However if you have a custom shop (ie art shop, CW, etc.) that hasn't been commented on and has fallen several pages back, are we required to simply have the old one locked and make a new one in order to get back on the first page or...? I'm curious how people keep their shops alive if they've been on hiatus or haven't had any comments in a while.

Bumping isn't allowed, and neither is posting on a thread that hasn't been responded to in 3 months or longer (that falls under the necro rules). If a thread has "expired," you'll need to get it locked and wait until it has reached the 3rd page (generally speaking) before re-creating it.
