What was suppose to be a happy naming celebration was ruined and something celebrating life was interrupted and killed 11 people and wounded 7... and is apparently the biggest attack on the Jewish community in American history so far... There has been a spike in antisemitism in the USA and honestly I wonder if things continue to rise if somewhere else would simply be safer; my boyfriend is Jewish and if we ever have kids... I just really hate to think of having to worry about him, our theoretical children, or being outside of a synagogue at the wrong time.
I... don't think it honestly left the US, I think it was made clearly unacceptable once upon a time and then Cheeto in Chief made it "okay" to have such hate for anyone different...

Thankyou, I appreciate it. People have definitely felt more empowered to carry out hate crimes as of late. That's not to sugarcoat the past because there has been some pretty awful things carried out on American spoil against minorities before the country was founded, of course, but ...yeah. I really hope things start to change for the better soon, for everyone.
