Each turn it's used in battle has a chance of an effect one of your random pet. Could be 0 hunger, happiness, or hp.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking of! I was hoping I just had misremembered how expensive it was lol. Poppin will continue to painstakingly eat perpetual pumpkins then. Thank you!
