Plunder and Spoil are Vikings. Well, Plunder definitely will be at least... Spoil, if I decide to that he and Plunder are a couple, will be a prisoner/slave from some area that's been conquered or that Plunder and company are trying to conquer.
It's a really new concept and I haven't really worked on it very much. I didn't really want to until I actually got Plunder, because I was pretty sure I wouldn't be able to grab the name when it became available... Plus, September was just generally a crazy month, with Quest-A-Thon, some health stuff I had/have going on and some stressful RL stuff happening.
So, basically I'm open to any and all suggestions for them. I will say I kinda like the idea of Plunder being Glacier, but obviously none of the options have clicked yet. I'm really hoping that some outside input will help.
I think nightmare would work great for Spoil and Hydrus for Plunder actually. Any species you're leaning towards?

I've looked at the Anyus, Devontis, Dragaths, Mahars, and Torrents repeatedly for these two, so while I haven't really settled on anything, I think those species are what I am leaning towards.
I think the hydrus mahar and nightmare dragarth work really well with the names. I'm not sure if they work so well with a viking/slave character though. I do think glacier would also work. I like a lot of the nightmare and glacier poses just because they remind me so well of a person who is spoiled or something that is spoiled if that makes sense. Plunder really screams pirate so that is what really gave me the hydrus vibe. I'm probably not much help here. -_-

Having someone to talk to about it has helped so much! When you asked me which species I was leaning toward, I went to SubetaLodge to find the names... Which got me digging and my mind moving... I think I've actually got a few options in mind now.
For Plunder, I think I like: Storm Anyu Glacier Ontra (it's a little too "cute" and definitely a lot tinier than what I had in mind, but I really love the artwork... Maybe spin the story a different direction and focus on the "weasel-y" aspects. -shrugs-) I might also want to wait and see if what the Storm Mahar looks like when/if they get around to releasing it...
For Spoil, I kinda like the Glacier Torrent. I think I like the idea of him being representative of a prey animal for whatever I pick for Plunder. (Both bears and otters eat fish so...) I just wish the Torrents weren't quite so happy/cartoony.
I think I am pretty settled on there being a captor and prisoner thing happening with them now... My muse seems to think that makes the most sense. Whether or not they will actually be a couple is still up for debate. (In other words, I'm gonna keep open mind and look for other names, before I settle on that aspect.)
[edit] I am still considering Hydrus, by the way. It's just that I've got A LOT of ocean-related characters actually and most of them still need colors so it's like... I have to be sure before I commit to Hydrus for any of them. LOL
If you end up going with viking/slave theme, I'd highly recommend the first three seasons of Vikings (if you haven't watched it yet). There's one of my fav ships ever which started off as viking/slave:

OK, color/species! I'm totally biased towards vikings xD, but I really like Hydrus Rreign. Glacier pets are usually too withdrawn looking to be a proper Plunder sadly. Hydrus isn't too far off because vikings sail a lot. I really like rreigns, because dragons definitely fit the viking culture, and even in the subeta lore, rregins are related to fireside/bonfires.
As for Spoil, maybe some kind of glacier pet would actually work. If he's a slave from othe part of the world, maybe he's not used to the cold in the beginning, and thus, a more withdrawn look.

I watched most of the first season of Vikings the year it came out. It was good and I planned on watching more episodes, but life happened and I just... didn't. I can't seem to find much free time or, like, any energy lately, but it's on my to-do list now. (I may have to watch it piecemeal instead of marathoning it, which is my preference when watching a series. I'm more of a movie watcher, for that very reason. They usually take less time. LOL) I'll probably be taking some inspiration from Pathfinder (the 2007 version) and Outlander, both of which are among my favorite movies. (Mostly Outlander really...) I am gonna stick to mostly real-world-though-maybe-not-historically-accurate stuff with vaguely supernatural stuff... More along the lines of "how is that humanly possible" than "alien monster"... I always like to have a little bit of badassery mixed in.
It's totally understandable. I used to be only into movies for the same reason. I've seen both Pathfinder and Outlander, and there were definitely some interesting elements in them. Having some supernatural stuff is totally cool too! So best of luck on the two characters :)!
