For this RP, you must navigate the maze AS YOU WISH, including the following.
Comments welcome!
Next chapter is up & posted on Lodge for us ((and I might have done the maze already too))
... in the lodge already. Have fun! :)
Forgive me if this is a dumb n00b question but how the heck do we know what is in the maze/the other cartels?

Go teams, have fun!
RIP Mom, I love & miss you more than you know. Tell Dede hi.

Not a n00b question at all, but the heart of the matter. What is in the other cartels is up to your team. make them as simple or as complicated as you wish. This is where you can add details of your own, and that is highly encouraged. There is no right or wrong here in terms of storytelling. Involve your audience in a wild ride through a literary maze. Do nightmares abound, or beautiful dreams. It's all up to you!
Okay...so. We're not going to find Cassia in the maze, but since we are supposed to be looking for her, have we been given anything with her scent on it? Because the sapient feline would have asked for that, but we don't actually get a lot of interactive talk with the npcs :)

: Are we supposed to actually complete the maze and turn it back to you solved (and labeled)? Or is the illustration of the maze simply used as a reference tool for us to draw inspiration from as we write our RP.
Put another way; are we being scored for both the maze solution and the RP?
What do you mean by
You must visit and label both the magic section and the "caterpillar."
Going Fishing!!! 🐟
Dealing with a family tragedy, so forgive us chaotic peppers. Totally didn’t get to submit last chapter but will do our best for this one.
Oh, I'm so sorry! Hugs and many comforting thoughts to reach across the miles. <3
Now, for more detailed instructions:
Ertrude, Vibrissa, Ms. Miranda, Irella, and their helpers are all in the Wayward Squirrel, and Yippina is connected from the main library. You may ask things of them at any time and they will be glad to give you any information they have. (Interaction with NPCs is kept at a minimum, because the last time I tried it in an earlier adventure, it was an unmitigated disaster and I had to do a great deal of repair work. However, there is always someone like Yippina who can provide needed information.)
Yes, the maze will be scored. It is worth 500 points. It is also the blueprint for your journey--maze=map. You do not need to visit any of the cartels, although your score MAY be greater if you do. It depends on the logic behind it. You only need to label the two places using this clue given by Yippina in the story thread.
Since some of you appear to want this, I will furnish the room you are in, which is labeled "Brass Coil" on your map. However, you may use these furnishings or not. If your team wants to do something different, go for it! Either way, pick and choose, it all works! The room contains, in addition to the tunnels exits: a large desk with a Cassia Kumoski sign set on it, and one drawer designated for personal item. including a tin of her favorite breath mints, two handkerchiefs, and her favorite holodisk of "Howls in the Night." There are also several assistant desks stacked with books, including one designated as a repair station, which holds many basic materials, and even some tightly capped solutions. One corner desk has a snack bar amply stocked with beverages and surmounted by a large larder cabinet.
There are only seven areas besides the entrance and exits rooms that contain possible content (which you are free to create.) One of those seven is the magic section and one if "The Caterpillar." The small swirls along the edges are part of the tunnels and are not areas in themselves.
The RP for this chapter is worth 4500 (yes, it's huge--but the judges set this since it is a really creative challenge and we have very capable teams.
Keep those questions coming!
Keep the questions coming.
Sending big hugs and lots of love.

Thank you~
So we-our-characters do have a map, then? And a cartel can be...anything with in reason, including random people to interact with (but not from the standard cast)?
The way some people spell makes me wonder about their pronunciation. My CW shop, and my ping group
You do, It's the same one that is given in the story thread. The cartel can indeed contain people, but they would all be library assists, or perhaps a shadowy figure or two, which would be too elusive to interact with, trust me. These "cartels" are a spin-off the original "cartello" which was a letter or collection of letters, The tunnel librarians use them to refer to rooms where they keep collections. For practical purposes, see them as the bold black spots on your map.
OK, consider at least one handkerchief pinched by a catte who has a functioning vomeronasal organ and her even longer-nosed pet thylacine.

I'm here, WItchy. WOrking on it. Will yell in chat. IT's RP, so if you all tell me what we're doing I can write anything even when my head is sad and mushy. :) <3
, just popping in from all this hectic business this weekend, but would you be able to explain what you mean by ‘cartel’? Whenever I think of the word I only think of gangs (drug cartels and such). Are we supposed to be meeting people in the areas?
