Today is National Hair Day! Since ancient times, women and men alike have been obsessed with their hair. Even Cleopatra had her special secret treatment already! Today, for many people, hair is high maintenance. And finally, there is a day to express your love for your hair — National Hair Day on October 1!

Have I mentioned how I love the creative themes? Hair Week! (I need a new haircut so badly o.o)

I took the theme quite literally: Though I have no idea if it'd suit me in RL I really really really dream of a colorful, creative, fancy undercut. But alas, I work in a company with -uh- conventional ideas of how their employees should dress and style like ... so I'm kinda stuck with my original hair color and a traditional cut. Meh. But here's what crosses my mind in my most wildest dreams:

2. As for my favorite hair style it would have to be something pretty and elegant. Something that makes everyone go WOW when they see it. I wish I could make my hair look like this every day but I am super lazy so it always goes into a ponytail but if I could:

Despite having really long hair I just brush and throw it up in a bun. I don't know how to do all those fancy girly hairstyles, but big curls have always looked nice. :)

For my own hair I only use Shampoo and a Hairbrush...ö__ö And I cut my hair by my self, to save money.'xD

my hair is quite boring and i don't really do anything to it. it's straight brown hair that is need of a hair cut. i usually only put it up in ponytail but i will one day have the patience to learn how to do different hair styles. i always give up when i have tried before lol

1. I've always really admired the retro/pin up girl hairstyles with all their complex curls and structural features and doing it in a fabulous color makes it even more fun. I've secretly dreamed of doing my hair like that but I have no idea how and suspect they're probably not very comfortable. But go be fabulous for me HA:

   My other dream hairstyle would be a complicated and colorful braid. I also really love those loose "messy" braid that are still somehow under control; I have no idea how people do that. I know how to do a simple single braid but I have no idea how to do any of the fancy ones.

2. IRL I have long brown hair (it's past my butt now when it's down) but never do anything with it. I always have in a single simple braid down my back. I just use a ordinary shampoo/conditioner and brush. Now and then I trim a few inches off the bottom if I feel like it's getting to long. And that's about the extent of my hair adventures. I've never even colored it.

I'm a system (for those who don't know the term, it means more than one person sharing the same body) of two, which gets kind of interesting when it comes to physical presentation... luckily we have fairly similar tastes, we're both very punk, though Kylo (right) is more gothy & extravagent, and Hank (left) is more down & dirty trad punk. And the hair styles we're interested in are very different... we've decided to aim for a long mohawk as a compromise.

So the left & right I did my best to do strong examples of our fashion senses, and in the center is a fusion of the two, and something we'd gladly wear. Fusion is just a cheap tactic to make weak alters stronger. The rain is just cause we're both hella into rain.

We change up our hair pretty often, right now it's a mohawk and we recently dyed it pink, though it's usually black. Whenever we want to start over we just shave it all off, lmao.

Honestly, as boring as this may sound, my dream for my hair is long thick hair with body/volume & curl to it. As someone who has always had super thin straight hair that doesn't hold curl very good, that has always been my dream!

As for my real hair, as I said, I've always had thin straight hair. I have a perm now to try to help with the body/volume part & I honestly love it with curls! Sometimes it is hard to take care of cause my hair tangles so easily but I've found that conditioner helps so much! As does Morroccan Argan oil! So as for routine, in the shower I usually shampoo my hair first, coat my hair with conditioner & leave it while I wash myself. Then rinse with cooler water. Then spray leave in conditioner & use the oil on the ends. If I'm going somewhere, I'll use gel & mousse to scrunch it & add to the curls. If I'm not doing much of anything, I just let it air dry.

I didn't make a HA but right now I would love any hair since i am almost bald!!! My hair is so thin on top, I wear a wig when I work. So I look professional (for my benefit, I dont like they way i look).

Hun I have always wanted full curly hair with lots of fullness and volume as mine is like hair always fine and thin pouts Thats one reason why I like perms in my real hair for the volume. And as you already know I love pinks so I love this headpiece.

Thank you so much for all your wonderful hair styles and ideas about hair care! I am recently obssessed with ancient Scandinavian hairstyles. We watched the Vikings series in the last weeks and I really hated all the violance yet I am totally in love with the hairstyles, especially the ones of Lagertha (so I made one, LOL). I could try to do them myself, my hair is long enough and dark blond also yet it looks complicated......

Lagertha was my favorite part of The Vikings - she's just so fabulous. I missed the last couple of seasons though, the violence just wore me out and I started to worry about Lagertha too much lol
