I adopted Treyor a while ago and have zapped him on and off without any plans. I've wanted a Sweetheart Mortking and I've decided he'll great for it. Question is whether it's even worth trying to get via the zapper or is that just too specific to be reasonable?

Personally I don't think the zapper is worth it unless you're either limiting it to experiment zaps, or just zapping for fun and to help abandoned pets get adopted.

If you don't have enough candy hearts and can't wait until Survival, the Sweetheart Potion isn't overly expensive in user shops. Arid Mortiking Elixir is cheapest, should you need to change species.

In this case I'd go with buying the items to change the pet. You could get lucky with the zapper, but more likely it'll take ages to get exactly what you want from it.

with the zapper you -may- get the correct color... but nearly never the correct species with it. (or wrong gender for that matter!) so i'ts still cheapest to go for the elixiers/potion with sweetheart

... also can't remember that i ever had a sweetheart zapp... hmmmm...

TBH I have the money to pay for the potion but I've been trying to do it for fun, by elixiring my pet to the right species and seeing if she zaps into the right colour.

Haven't been very successful. I've also tried zapping my pet into another gender and it's taking foreverrr.
