There’s a name I want on an account that should be cleared (past the date/time indicated for clearing), but it’s not available yet.

How long does it usually take for names to clear after the scheduled clearing date/time passes?

I've had this happen several times and recently asked an admin about it. When a pet doesn't clear by the scheduled date/time, they will clear the next day at the same time.

It might have something to do with the site being temporarily down/sending out errors when the script runs to clear accounts (or whatever it is that happens - I just assume it's a script).

Angelina said this in her ticket (assuming it's okay to post this):" Thank you for writing in, and it is possible that the SQL errors caused a delay in this name clearing. If it was due to the errors, then the name should clear tomorrow. If it is a name you want, I recommend keeping an eye on it."
