So I can't stress myself enough since the day staff decided to put the gender berry in the mil center for the cheap price of 10m when before that I could easily buy one for 40k~200k before and it annoys me to the max like wow as easier it is to make money in this site, the price difference makes me extremely petty to buy it even when I need to

I have two questions about this matter:

• WHY they put the price so high, I still don't understand it

• Is there any safer way to change my pets' gender?? I know the zapper does it but... I really don't want to risk pets in there for obvious reasons

Probably 'cause folks like me were buying them by the dozen when they were so cheap. Guess they figured it would be a good sP sink, and better for the site economy overall.

Not a problem Trade Lot offer any old thing. I went through a craze of making pets in the adoption center more attractive with zapping and such, back when there were dozens of un-adoptables in there. I felt so bad for them... I had so many, I was getting to the point I was feeding gender berries to my gourmand pet.
When you have one sitting in a gallery just 'cause it's cool.., it's time to pass it on. [edit] Those are the only two ways I know of to change the gender unless you want genderless.., then there's the steamwork route

You are asking a lot of complicated and intermixed questions. The tl:dr is that Subeta is a game and it's market goes up and down.

The site currency, Subetapoint, it is not a real currency it's a scrip. As such it only has value to the degree that people find it entertaining to play the game of Subeta. If you're a boomer like me you know that the USD was made a fiat currency by Kennedy who removed the silver note and replaced it with paper promissory note. In order to pay for the fucked up war that nobody wanted to be taxed for, they printed tons of it without giving people anything to buy with it. Inflation went through the roof and Ford's response was to print Whip Inflation Now buttons....:)

Subeta does a better job of this than that. In particular MC items cost s lot of sP so you always have something to buy with sP and those items are items that are relatively high-demand.

It is in the interest of the site to make sP easy and fun to get, just like it was interesting to that past RL government to continue their screwed up carnage. Subeta compensates for the inflation that this causes by making some things expensive just because they can. Since it's a scrip no more costly than the photons on your computer screen, the "money they get" isn't "money they get". There is no THEM who is in opposition to you and there is no THING that you have lost. The sP you spend in the MC gets destroyed and since sP are not real they can make as many new sP as they need in whatever way Subeta wants... because it's fun!

The Gender Berry was once the Sex Berry and while you may remember the price being cheap, it's price has varied considerably over time and when I joined eleven years ago the total number of sP needed to get one was less than it is now but those sP were much harder to get in the first place and the supply of the berry was irregular. The Gender Berry is actually cheaper in terms of effort to buy it now then it has been even though you remember them being very cheap at one time. I think there was some site event that made them cheaper, or they were first only available through something rare and became restockable so the price dropped somewhere in the middle? Anyhow the market in Subeta changes a lot and users should expect this.

I see )x I remember when there were tons of pets in the pound too, I used to spend a lot of my time there adopting some abandoned boys too I remember I had a few a good while ago but since I was on a very long hiatus, I don't remember if I ended up using it or what, right now I have none (??)

Indeed, it's pretty easy doing these things and quite fun now that it got easier (i remember the time you had to open a new tab and search the items indestad of clicking the search shop button) and me, being the lazy person I am, well.... yEA.

What made them cheaper is that there was a shop that used to sell it, actually, but then they decided it wouldn't be sold by that shop anymore and they put it on mil center, if i remember that well, the old sex berry used to cost around 2k?? In the shop, but since the high demand it always were between the price I put that in the my first post, tbh I never cared to buy it for 200k and sometimes until 400k, but well

Yeah, it's definitely kind of frustrating. It's only that price to match the Genderless Berry, which has been in there for the 10mil pricetag for quite awhile now-- which in turn came from the Genderless Berry being a Blackheart Hallow item originally. I've got 4 genderless/nonbinary pets, so I've had to drop a decent chunk of money on them over the years. (Well, technically 5, but the last one is actually completely void of gender due to a site glitch rather than being genderless. I love them just the way they are.)

I feel that they definitely could both be dropped down to maybe 5mil each, but the idea of the Gender Berry and Genderless Berry items both being money sinks is a valid argument. It's not awful hard to make 10mil sP for a small detail like that.

I agree, the gender berry's price in the MC is way too high.

I remembered when they were as low as 50k when they were vended out (I'm not saying they should be like that). But for years they were under 1m when they were restockable. And suddenly, it jumps to 10m, which is more than the other potions in the MC. How does that make sense?

And as a side note, if more methods to sink sP are desired, why not put the potions in the MC or charge sP to change the pet's color? The gender berry isn't commonly used, and is a drop in the bucket down the sink.
