I have a learning disability and I did graduate high school.. but I still stink at math..

I have set a some goals for my self. Such as as earning points(points are for another website where I cash points out for stuff). Lets say I have 2,610 points. My first goal is 3,400 points.

At 5 points per task how many tasks till I hit my 1st goal?

also can you explain to me how you figured it up?

I know I need 790 points.. Im just not sure how many tasks I need to do..

My thinking: 5 divided by 790 which would equal 158 tasks? is this correct?

You would start by subtracting what you have from what you need, which you have done. Then you would divided that number by how many points you get from each task.

3400 minus 2610 equals 790. 790 divided by 5 equals 158.

so my next step is to figure out how long it will take me to achieve my goal. We have a max earning of 500 points on tasks a day..

So I got to figure out how many tasks it takes to get 500 points.. then figure out how many days till i reach my goal (assuming I get the max points aloud every day)

So: 100 tasks would equal 500 points.. cause 500 divided by 5 is 100.

so in 2 days if I can achieve the max points a day (or at least 1 day of max points and 290 another day) I will achieve my 1st goal?

If you need 790 points and you can earn 500 a day, then it would take about a day and a half to earn the 790 points. Thats assuming you earn the maximum.

That would involve doing 100 tasks on the first day and 58 tasks on the second day. [edit]

790 - 500 (day 1) = 290 (day 2) 500 total/5 per task = 100 tasks 290 total/5 per task = 58 tasks

So if I need total of 2,175 points and I have 1,223 I need 952 points

at 2 points per set of videos I need to watch 476 sets?
