Is there any other way to find out when the user was online the last time?

If you have business with them like you commissioned something from them and haven't heard from them in awhile and they're past due you might check their Recent Posts. If you believe they are in violation of an enforceable contract you can file a Ticket in Help.

If you just wanna know, maybe they don't want you to know?

I'm not in contact with them. Just wanted to know when the last time was, when the user logged in, cause they own a pet name I would like to have :D

Profile Comments also can work. In particular, lookup your own Profile Comments and substitute their username for yours in the URL.

If you click on their username, you can go to their User Profile. On the User Profile there can be a box (but it is not required by Rules) with Joined Member For Forum Posts Trading Cards etc. Under Forum Posts there is Recent Posts and Recent Topics. Click on those and see the date of the top one. If it's not on their User Profile you can go to your own box on your own User Profile and your own Recent Posts/Topics and substitute their UserID for your own in the URL.

[edit] getting petnames, stop by their profile every two weeks or so and eventually there will be an announcement on the top of their User Page saying when they will go inactive. If they're inactive. If they never go inactive, you will never know and this suits them.

In addition to recent posts and comments, you can check their WL for recent releases. The inactivity message shows up after 10 months so you might have a bit of waiting to do.

There's a name I've been watching for a couple of years and the user refuses to go completely inactive for me :')

Ouch :( Either this name that I've had an eye on or a different one, the user had been marked inactive and came back so I feel your pain. I don't have any must-have names on my radar currently, but a few that I keep an eye on just in case and I'd figure out something to do with them if I could snag one :D

Happily it wasn't a name I really wanted. There are many pet names I would like to have, but beside availability there is the problem with pet slots. Sadly they are to expensive for me ^^

I tried out the tip, to see their last forum activities, but the user never posted on the forum. I hope it's not a fake account just to store pets on :/
