The resolution, launched in 2011, recognizes that friendship between individuals, countries, and cultures can inspire peace efforts and build bridges between communities.

It’s focused on promoting conversations between different communities and civilizations—so it’s all about planning community activities that include different cultures and promote international understanding and respect for diversity.

Our country, workplaces, and schools increasingly consist of various cultural, racial, and ethnic groups, so making an effort to learn about another’s way of life, belief system or language is important. Every person makes a unique contribution to the larger society because of, rather than in spite of, their differences. And today reminds us to celebrate them all.

For some of us, making new friends can seem overwhelming—it’s out of our comfort zone. But the skill of building friendships is one of the most important ones you can learn, and striking up a conversation with someone new can lead to a lasting friendship.

1. Today, reach out to a group member you didn´t know very well so far and send them a gift box. It isn´t necessary to put in expensive items, it´s just as well to choose a nice theme or pictures or cute items - be creative! Naturally, you can send wish list item(s), too. Share the gift box with us, posting a picture of the contents/gif/wishes here. If you are more on the shy side, only posting the name of the user you sent items to will suffice, too.

2. Create a HA fitting the friendship theme.

As always, you are allowed to use all wearables, CWs included, you don´t have to own them. Please use surroundings.

Please post the HA(s) here in the thread together with the picture and please don´t use HAs you already used for other Subeta contests before. Be creative! :-)
