World UFO Day serves as a way for everyone to come together and watch the skies on the same night in search of UFOs, but that’s not its only purpose. Many see the holiday as a way to spread knowledge and awareness of UFOs, making a case for their existence, and hoping to make disciples out of the dubious. So why July 2? For many, this date represents the anniversary of the famed and all-but-confirmed 1947 incident in Roswell, New Mexico. Believers claim a UFO crash landed here, deep in the American southwest, but that the government has been covering it up ever since. What do you believe? Did you know that the term ‘UFO’ for Unidentified Flying Object was coined by US Air Force officer Edward Ruppelt in 1952? A broadsheet reports widespread sightings of a celestial phenomenon over Nuremberg as soon as 1561 and many a sighting could be interpreted out of old books and even the bible.

1. No, I don't believe in UFOs. I do believe there is a lot of unexplained things that happen & much we humans don't know but I don't believe in UFOs/aliens, they sort of thing. 2.There are many things I could pick for this! I think I'll go with 3 that are used daily in my life: memory foam (bed & shoes), sunglasses & digital images (through phone & camera).
2. No. The closest I would come to liking anything half way related to UFOs/aliens would be space related things like Star Wars lol

1. I may have never seen a ufo but I do believe they exist. We can’t be the only living creatures in the entire universe. It is to vast to not believe in anything else.

2. Computer mice Until we all get those sweet interfaces from Minority Report, the mouse will be the most common way to use our personal computers. And it exists because NASA needed it. With computers being applied to more and more aspects of space flight, money was funneled into a project to make them more easily interactive. The result was the computer mouse.

I would say I really appreciate this from space tech cause how would we work the computers without a mouse!!

1. This is a hard one, I mean I want to believe, our galaxy is only one of many, so there is possibility that there is more intelligent life out there. At the same time I'm left wondering if UFOs have actually visited our planet or if all the proof is fabricated. It kind of hard to believe in something when you don't have absolute proof.

2. Baby formula nutrient While developing food for missions to Mars, researches discovered how to make an omega-3 fatty acid, a key nutrient found in breast milk. NASA said this ingredient is in 90 percent of infant formulas on the market. It's also added to other milk products and vitamin supplements. Being a mother who had to formula feed two of my four children I find this the best thing that NASA has ever helped produce.

3. Avatar. Without a doubt it is my absolute favorite movie about extraterrestrials. The way the tribes make me think about what Native Americans had to deal with when the colonists came over really hits home. Being 1/4 Cherokee when I watch this I wonder if my ancestors felt like the tribes of this movie, not understanding and not trusting the white settlers who came to steal their land, food, minerals, not to mention destroying their homes and general way of life. When they fight back it makes me so happy. Looking so forward to the sequel.

1. I didn't really believe in "alien spaceship sightings" until, a couple years ago, I saw a very strange light that I still can't logically explain. I was at the beach at night, the sky was super clear and there were no street lamps nearby. The light looked just like another star (it was stationary at first), which I thought was strange, like it didn't fit there, because it wasn't supposed to be part of the constellation in that area. Then suddenly it started moving really fast and upwards. Way too fast to be a plane, and the direction was too steep as well. So who knows what I saw! x) With that said, I have always 100% believed in intelligent life besides our own. I think it's rather naive not to.

2. Cordless vacuum cleaners! XD I almost can't imagine my life without one. It would be terrible to have to bring out the big vacuum cleaner everytime I drop some crumbs or something.

3. Arrival is a rather interesting one. Can't remember if they show a UFO in Signs but if so then that's my favorite.

1. Absolutely! The universe is vast and there's too much we don't know. I just can't believe Earth is the only place life has thrived. Also I know several people (that I completely trust) that have had personal, undeniable experiences with UFOs.

2. I'll be honest, I had to look up which technologies came from our space exploration. The only one I could think of on my own was Silly Putty lol Of the things I found when I was looking Food Safety Standards and improved/more efficient/more affordable Solar Panels were my favorites.

3. I love UFO movies. Two of my favorites are: The Day the Earth Stood Still from 1951 (not that Keanu Reeves' one) and Tim Burton's Mars Attacks!

4. Just to give a little idea of how big of an X-Phile I was when I was younger, a tiny story: When I was in high school there were people who didn't know my name but knew that I was a fan of The X-Files. So I couldn't resist making Mulder and Scully for this challenge.

1. Nope! Aliens, sure, but UFOs... are such a random, human-centric invention. It boggles my mind that people believe that spaceships have to be shaped like that. XD

2. I'd have to go with solar energy use and 3D-printed food! Also artificial limbs, because those are beyond amazing and so helpful to those who need them.

3. I watch a tonne (a seriously incredible amount) of sci-fi but actually very little in the way of UFO movies! XD Mars Attacks! was beyond brilliant, though. Loved it. So was Independence Day.

1. I believe there is other sapient life in the universe. I think that it is quite possible that aliens may have paid us a visit in the past. But I don't believe that aliens commonly abduct people in order to perform weird experiments on them or do strange things to cattle.

2. Probably the best one for humanity is the baby nutrient Country mentioned. I don't have any children, though, so my personal favourite is memory foam, because I have trouble sleeping on anything else!

3. I've seen a lot of science fiction movies. But I think my favourite show about aliens on our planet was actually Alien Nation, from forever ago.

4. Have a cute blue alien lady driving a spacecraft. She's got it on cruise control right now though.

1. The "UFO phenomenon" as such seems to me to be a modern urban legend update of the stories of changelings and fae. I believe in both about equally, which is to say, I believe that some people who claim abduction by such creatures happened to them, believe it, but I don't think it happened in reality.

I think there's probably alien life, but I don't think it's visited Earth this century, and probably not ever.

2. Many inventions are helping people; one of the ones I am happiest about is the improvement in artificial limb replacements, which help a lot for those who have lost an arm or leg.

3. I really enjoyed "The Last Mimzy," which I think could be considered a UFO movie, since there's some unidentified objects that at least float, if not fly. If you want a movie with actual aliens, I like "Buckaroo Banzai," which I have watched many times since the 1980s. Probaby the archetype of UFO movies is "Close Encounters," which was enjoyable enough and made quite an impression on me also.

Thank you so much for your participation in the UFO contest, my friends! I myself don´t believe in UFOs exactly as a material matter yet I definitely think that it´s possible to travel through time and space somehow somewhen. And there certainly is life on some other planets out there for sure. Perhaps the UFO phenomenon registered here are some kind of time travelers from our future, who knows.

I think water filter are a very usable invention, some day, we´ll have shortage in water. We even experience it here in Germany after a heat periode not known since 1839 that mineral water was difficult to get in some cities.

Avatar was certainly the most enjoyable movie I have ever seen in this department. However, I really like Aliens (especially 1 and 2), too, because it´s so thrilling! Those motion trackers, oh my!

Yes, he used to play a lot and really liked Masquerade and such yet since the last wardrobe launch, he can´t use it which means he isn´t able to put on a mask and participate. He even made a ticket about it asking an admin to do so he would be able to enjoy the event yet it wasn´t possible, they said. Nowadays, he is seldom on because of this yet he likes our contests here and when an entry is a real fav of him, he sends out a little gift. :-)

How cool :) one of my other friends has had the same issue with wardrobe for a while :( surprised they don't help people with this since it is one of the key factors of the site. I went ahead and sent him a friend request lol

He wasn´t that keen on changing his clothes, he made one nice HA and that was it, LOL. Men. :-) However, he can´t participate in some events when not having things applied and he really loved the dance contests and participated in them. We´ll see how it goes in the next season.

have him post in the bug forum about the wardrobe issue. If he really can't use it at all, Bug will probably fix it.

What is the problem? Does the wardrobe not load, does it not do the conversion from old avatar, does it work but not let him put items on? If he can be as specific as possible that will help I'm sure.

They've fixed a bunch of wardrobe bugs I ran into over the last several months.

Love, he posted in the forum several times before he made a ticket. He is kinda frustrated now. His ava doesn´t load whatever he does and nobody figured it out so far.

that is terrible and sounds so frustrating. I imagine he has tried multiple browsers and devices already, and that what works fine when you are logged into your account then fails when he is logged into his.

What does the web page look like when he goes into the wardrobe? If he does an "inspect" (right click browser command) while on the wardrobe page, is there any error message or php logging lines in the source? Or is it a blank page even in inspect mode? Or does everything seem fine in wardrobe but when he pressed "wear on site" then it simply fails to change his HA?

Edit addition: all his forum posts are from early 2017 and that is before Bug started working on the wardrobe. So I still think he should post in the wardrobe thread I linked above, explain the problem he is still having, because new developers probably aren't aware.
