Is there a way for the dashboard to be on both sides of the page for easier viewing? I thought I remembered it being that way but now I can't find anything pointing to how to accomplish it. Thanks

I don't ever recall that, but there have been so many changes over the years, who knows? Either way its not possible now.
You might be able to do it with custom css. Check out this Useful Custom CSS Builder and post there asking how.
