Hi everyone! It doesn't seem like there's an active Pokemon Go thread at the moment, so I thought I'd create a place for players to discuss all things PoGo-related. ...If anybody still plays besides me, anyway! My city suburb has a HUGE PoGo Discord community, so it's a lot of fun to play where I live, haha.

At the time of writing this, friends and trading should be introduced within the next couple of days. Who's excited to collect friends, get raid bonuses for doing raids with friends, and trade to (hopefully) get region-exclusives? Personally, I'm excited to see that CPs/IVs seem to be randomized when Pokemon are traded (judging by Niantic's preview screenshots). I think it'll encourage people to trade more, if it means that someone's terrible IV Bagon will be someone else's perfect IV Bagon. Also, I missed out on Bulbasaur community day, so I need to trade one of my excess shiny Mareeps for one. D8

Anyway, tell me about your account! What team are you? Any shinies or perfect IVs you want to brag about?

I'm only level 34 right now, Team Instinct. I caught a perfect Magikarp while sitting on my couch the other night and I still can't quite believe it happened. __ He's my pride and joy!

I am pleasantly surprised that they made trading a thing. Just during the charmander community day, I was talking about how unlikely it seemed they would release it, considering pokemon is ultimately a children's game. "Hey kid, I have a shiny mew, come over so I can trade you" seems like something that could lead to some bad news.

Buuuuuuut I'm glad they didnt listen to me. I wish stardust cost were based purely on cp. If I want to give away one of my like seven shiny mareeps I dont necessarily want anything special for it, and I definitely dont want to spend a heck ton of stardust for it. I'm stardust broke!

Anyway, if you cant tell, I still play. My community isnt GREAT for it, but I go to the park once a week at least, and hit pokestops on my way to and from work. I'm actually really bad at the game and almost never have any pokeballs because I waste so many trying to catch mons. And yet my inventory is always full ..... I currently have like 21 dead mons and 0 revives. None of the three gifts I opened today had any revives either OH WELL FML AM I RIGHT

I'm still addicted to Pokemon GO and loving the new friends feature so far. I haven't tried trading with anyone yet but sending/receiving gifts is fun. I'm level 30, Team Rocket Instinct and have a shiny Charmeleon that will hopefully be a Charizard soon. Shortly after the game first launched and was all the rage my town had some meet-ups. It was fun to play with a crowd of fellow nerds, most of them my age (old, haha) but it would've been so much better if they'd had trading available from the start! These gatherings were basically Pokemon festivals with people selling merch, costume/impression contests, music, etc. The whole atmosphere was just happy, nostalgic and reminded me of the Pokemon League I used to attend back in the early 00's. Unfortunately the hype seems to have faded but there's still a decent local community. Maybe trading will spark some interest for another gathering. I'm hopeful PvP battling might someday happen too.

I was finally able to start last fall. I didn't have access to a smart device until then because that's when my mom got a smartphone and tablet. She lets me borrow the tablet for Pokemon GO - I need the exercise. At least it makes it more tolerable.

I play here and there, and I am currently level 27.

Level 40 instinct player here I reluctantly still play this game. I’m blaming it for ruining my relationship.

I will play it every now and then. I was much more active on it when it first released because I was simply a seasonal employee, but now that I am full-time, I don't have nearly as much time to devote to it. I don't really do the raids but I'd like to at some point.

There's not a lot of unique Pokemon where I live. Every now and then I'll find something cool worth catching but, eh. I'm much more likely to play if I'm going out of town (which happens very rarely lol). It's fun to see Pokemon that I don't normally get to try to catch when I'm back at home.

Level 34, Team Mystic. 13 Perfect IVs so far.

Pretty neat, right? I've been real happy with my progress over the last few months since I got back into the game. Unfortunately I'm also preparing to give up on PoGO, as Niantic are supporting a certain autism "charity", and hundreds of players are telling them why this is bad. "We hear you", they claim. Uh... No. You really don't, Niantic.

Lvl 30 Mystic I'm on a college campus, so I'm surrounded by gyms and stops lol May as well have it open as I walk around. I do appreciate that it's gotten better and more interactive between players.

If you want survival flowers, head to this shop and let me know which ones you would like.

i quit playing for a while kind of like half the world lol but i recently picked it back up since i purchased lets go pikachu and now i'm addicted again! I work at the mall so i have quite a few stops and gyms to get when i'm there and it seems like pokemon spawn a lot more than they used to back when the game first started. I'm also really into the trading thing that's super fun i remember how everyone begged for that before. my only complaint really is the fact that you have to upgrade your bags. personally i understand upgrading your item back but they should allow you to have enough space in the pokemon one to catch one of each and if you want/need more then upgrade? idk i know capitalism and stuff and i know you can earn that currency (slowly) but its a little "unfair" to only have 300 spaces before upgrading it....

It gives me something to do when i'm bored and it gives me an excuse to exercise. But if I had to choose i'd play a main series Pokemon game over the app

Instinct!

Started playing again in January after being on hiatus for a while. My city has a lot of active players still; community days are a lot of fun as a result.

I hoping to one day complete my gen 1 pokedex. I need a Cloyster, Farfetch'd, and Kanghaskan (never gonna get lol). I managed to get a Mr. Mime when my friends in I all had layovers in Europe on the way to a friend's wedding. I failed to catch one but a friend traded a spare to me.

I'm still a pretty active player (level 35, Instinct), and our community days are always busy which is nice to see - reminds me of when the game first came out and everyone and their mother was playing. I just play to complete my Pokedex, I don't really care about raids or battling or anything like that.

I do! ^w^ I used to play it religiously when it first came out, but then I soon got lazy and did not want to go outside at all for a bit lol but now I am back to playing it daily and using it to motivate me to exercise.

About 4 months ago I got back into it, but started over fresh with a new Pokemon Go account. ^^' My boyfriend wanted us to play it a lot, because he loves it, and I did too!! The issue was that he was team Instinct and I was team Valor when we started dating, however (this was before they released the coin to change teams btw xD). I didn't have a big attachment to my team and I did not have that many achievements or cool Pokemon or anything in my account, so I made a new one and have been playing it way more now! ^w^ I'm at level 28 now, which is already one level higher than the Valor account I had for like a year+. XD
