[b]NATIONAL GARFIELD THE CAT DAY

Celebrated each year on June 19, it is National Garfield the Cat Day.
A fictional character, Garfield is a title protagonist from the comic strip „Garfield" which was created by Jim Davis.
This week is set aside to celebrate him and the entertainment that he brings us.

Set in Muncie, Indiana, common themes in the comic strip include Garfield’s laziness, obsessive eating, love for lasagna and coffee and hatred of Mondays and diets.
The focus is mostly upon the interaction between Garfield, his human Jon, Odie the beagle dog, his teddy bear Pooky and his mouse friend Squeak aka Floyd and girlfriend Arlene aka Penelope. There is also Nermal, a gray tabby cat Garfield is jelous of, the mailman Herman Post, Garfield's sarcastic veterinarian Dr. Liz Wilson (who is Jon's main love interest) and a lot more which you can look up here:Information about Garfield and his friends

Challenge: When celebrating Garfield the Cat day why not dress up your HA as the cat yourself or one of the other characters of the comic? Post your favorite comic stripe, too! Let be honest when he goes beyond his normal outfit Jon really is a fashion train wreck lol So I looked at a lot of Jon gets dressed up for a date strips, but I was mostly inspired by this strip

So many good strips it's hard to pick a favorite, but I've always liked how sweet Garfield is to Pooky:

I even still have a plush toy of him that my dad bought me years and years ago :) I haven't read any of the comics in a very long time though.... I looovvvve Garfield. I collected the book compilations and had them all until they got up into book number 50 or so and I ran out of bookshelf... His birthday is one off from me. For 8 years his house number was one off from mine. I am also a fan of coffee and mice, cake and pizza. Also anti Mondays and spiders. XD
