how can i unlock him to fight him??

users have explained it in the comments on the news post. you need to have a certain amount of your pets at 0 HP and then visit gunter at the brewery in veta. the number of pets seems to be variable; maybe half, maybe more than that?

Using this topic to ask a question, since it's related, rather than creating a new one, hope it's ok.

Does anyone know if the way to unlock Gunter is the same now that

1. Neugarten has been released (Gunter doesn't run the brewery anymore) and
2. The event has begun ?

I'm asking because I have all my pets at 0 hp and had them 10/10 hunger & happiness and couldn't unlock him either by refreshing Alegarten shop (and Neugarten too!) and by visiting step by step through the explore map.

I'd rather ask here first than via ticket, but I'm afraid that the month's almost over and that I won't be able to unlock him at all (I also don't want to make a ticket unless I absolutely have to)

unlocked gunter the other day (the 24th, so after neugarten started), so it should still be working... it looks like tziety still has nearly full health? so i'm guessing that's the problem o:

I did heal up Tziety last night to finish my BQ, so I will lose another battle at level 30 and try again.

hopefully it works this time o: try using the veta map's link to the brewery instead of refreshing on the brewery's page, too -- apparently refreshing doesn't work s;

yup! I've been trying with both - Alegarten and Neugarten (run by gunter), just in case.

Not pinging anyone but just posting for anyone having trouble - the Brewery link from Veta works (as of yesterday) and the Neugarten/Alegarten shops that are currently open definitely didn't work for me. c:

there's no time limit on unlocking the "friendly" challengers, so you don't have to worry about not getting them before the month is up. they'll still be unlockable for quite some time. (i'd say indefinitely but idk, who knows what'll happen a few years down the road.)

Ooh thanks for that bit of information ! At least it didn't mess up my EXP gain for this month, haha!
