Wizarding Graphics Giveaway!

Hello and welcome to a new term! My name is Yolanda Banks, as most of you should know, and to start up this new era for Wizarding we would like to encourage the students to unleash their creativity and help us. Given my creative side, I was asked to host this little giveaway and what better way to encourage students than with prizes? And of course a little bit of good music, right? Maybe we can play the radio while we do this to get your muse flowing.

Wizarding is looking for new banners to promote the group using artwork. The giveaway will be divided in two categories: General and Seasonal. What we would like to see are creative banners for all year promotion and also some seasonal themes or festivities theme. To those that participate a small prize will be given and the winner of each category can chose one prize from the pool. (Prizes will be given in order of claiming.)

Rules:

-Submit original artwork, no stealing. No copyrighted images may be used. -Stick to forums image size rules. (The max size of a Signature AND Forum Image COMBINED is 450 pixels wide, and 325 pixels in height.) -The name Wizarding or Wizarding Group should be written in the banner. -By participating you give Wizarding the right to use the images submitted even if you are not the winner. -You're allowed to enter ONE image per category only. -Add your name and house to your entry. -Do not watermark your image.

The holiday theme is a Wizarding banner with seasonal motive like winter, spring, summer, autumn. OR it can be Halloween, Christmas, Valentine, and those kind of holidays.

The deadline is June 30, right? I'm getting nervous with another ping three days after it was posted!

Also just wanted to clarify if we had to submit original artwork or if just graphics are ok (like sourcing an image online and editing it for Wizarding)? I wasn't quite sure from the instructions. c:

Yes the deadline is June 30, sorry about the second ping but I didn't see the giveaway included in any of the bulletin so I wondered if it was received. According to the rules it must be original art since we don't want problems with copyright pictures. Those that don't follow the rules would be disqualified.

Although anyone can change the entry before the deadline if needed.

Is using Subeta art in graphics ok? I don't think we run into any copyright issues there!

I would think Subeta graphics would be ok since the banners are for use on-site. Copyright wise, there wouldn't be a problem. Also, a couple of the current entries are using Subeta graphics :) (my nearly complete entry does as well fingers crossed )

Is this right, Merlin?

I don't think using Subeta images would be a problem, I haven't consult this with the staff but I would say its okay. Yet we still want to see creative things so if you are using a supporting image, try making it nice. =D

Thanks for all the clarifications - I'm not sure I have the skills to do this, but if I devote time to it I want to make sure I'm not doing it wrong!
