Today is THE day that I'm bringing my landlord to court. Yesterday I was feeling anxious and I was scared/nervous. I have everything I possibly need: pictures, documents, ect. Have all my copies. I read over the report I spent $60 on and I seriously can't believe the dump I moved into. There's more info, but I feel that everything is case sensitive. I'll only say this: there was an act of infringement (on his behalf).
This has been an on-going issue since 2011 and the report states that he is blaming the damage on me.
I'm scared he'll enter my apartment without me being here, so I'll turn my computer off (it's password prompted on Startup) and put a dime on top of my door on the way out.
Edit: I made some friendly pings, as some of you asked to be kept in the loop. To my friends, I'm sorry I've been distant and non-talkative. I've honestly been going through a lot and have just been remote.
FINAL: [edit] I was torn apart by a pack of wolves.
It didn't go well at all. I had a panic attack the whole entire time. I had to run out of the room because I thought I was going to puke. I almost passed out. My brother said โYou look paleโ. All my L/L did was lie, and snowball the lies and his stories started changing once he was asked about them again and again. The arbitrator was a total bitch.
Plus I wasted $60. She wasn't even interested in the by-law documents, nor did she care about them.
I'm too tired to even fucking care.
Good luck!

Good luck, and I hope things turn out all right!
๐ Best of luck! ๐
As for not being around -- RL gets in the way for all sorts of reasons so I seldom worry if I haven't heard from someone for a while. Sometimes we all need to take a step back from the computer -- glad you're doing what you need to do to take care of you. :)
Good luck, friend ^^ I hope everything works out in your favor.

... :I
I'm at a loss for words.

And I wasn't even home yet and he was texting me asking when he can come and do repairs (I was eating dinner out because I was at the small claims court all day)
I just him to leave me alone, but I had to answer him.
Hopefully if the chair hears my pleas, I'll get him for a few things: harassing texts, the no address on rent leases and increasing rent illegally.
Sorry it was such an ordeal. That which does not kill us make us stronger. You are still here and you should be proud of yourself for taking on such a difficult problem. It may have gone better than you think it did. She may have seen through his lies and she may have seen what it was doing to you. She simply was, perhaps, unable to show it because her role is to remain neutral.
When will you find out about the ruling?
Oh man, that really sucks, I am sorry about all of that. Are you going to be okay? What will happen now?

Awww, what? Iโm really sorry to hear how it went down. :( I thought it wouldโve turned out better, but I guess the court room can just be that harsh. big hugs
But Iโm glad to hear that there still seems to be hope for your case! Keep fighting if you canโyour landlord shouldnโt just be let off scot-free after everything he put you through.
At the end of the hearing, she said "I'll go away for a few days and the decision will be sent in the mail".
My brother said he's willing to help me get a lawyer because I can sue for the harassment, but we'll wait to see how this goes.
Yeah, definitely. I really hope things work out, and I am sorry to had to go through that. I am here if you ever need to vent, or anything at all.

I think you need a lawyer at this point, apparently. x_x That sounds utterly, inexplicably exhausting. To take a little cue from , I think the saying of "That which doesn't kill me better start running" applies better here.
