Charlotte wandered down to the Common Room after unpacking her trunk and organizing most of her belongings in their dormitory. She took a deep breath and enjoyed the familiar scent of the room she had spent so many years in.
The hall was empty so far, so she took a seat by the fire and called to her cat Luna who happily jumped up on her lap and started purring. She was happy to be off the train and back at Hogwarts. They waited together for some of her friends to come down.
Cleared by staff: Maximum height is 325px.

Effy dropped off her trunk in her dorm, trying to decide if she should unpack or relax a bit first. She didn't need to change into her uniform just yet; rules were pretty lax about that since term hadn't technically started. She shrugged, deciding the fire in the common room looked inviting and getting settled in could wait for a bit. She grabbed the novel she'd been reading and bounded down to the common room, hoping to finish her book. Maybe she'd make a cuppa; it'd be a shame to have such a toasty fire in the fireplace and such a good book to read without a cup of tea to round it all out.
She sank into an armchair within good range of the warmth of the fire, looking fondly around the common room. She gave a nod and a friendly smile to Charlotte, who clearly had the same idea regarding the fireplace. "Hope you had a nice break?" Effy offered over the top of her book.

How're things with everyone? I've missed you guys!
"Hey, Charlotte, hey Effy!" Lysandra greeted her classmates and bend down to pet Charlotte´s beautiful cat Luna. Frida, her Norwegian Forestecat companion, strolled over, purring, giving friendly headbutts, too.
How would her classmates react seeing that she had cut her hair this short, Lys wondered. It was so much easier to dye it fitting to her clothes when it wasn´t hip long like last term. The half-elf who was always fussing over color combinations and clothes carried an extra bag with her which contained all kind of hair colors, she was all geared up to meet the terms challenges.

I've decided to use my Triwizard character this term, but given that we already have a Charlotte, I'll have her go by Charlie. ^_^

Chell pulled a small list out of her pocket and began checking off items she pulled from her bags, double checking that she had grabbed everything she needed from home. Once she had finally unpacked her luggage, she let out a sighed in relief. Noodles was already curled up at the foot of her bed, "It's nice to be back, huh?" she said, patting the orange cat on the head before heading out the door.
Chell heard chatter coming from the common room and went to greet her friends, "Charlotte, Effy, Lys! Hello!" she beamed and joined the group by the fire. "Hello to you too Luna and Frida" she smiled at the cats. "How were your breaks?" she asked, excited to catch up.

Effy waved a greeting at Chell and Lys as they came into the room, the did a double-take and looked at Lys admiringly. "Ooh, I adore your haircut, it's so striking!" Effy exclaimed. "It looks wonderful on you and you're a far braver person than I." She laughed, gesturing to her own long locks.
She smiled over Chell. "I spent a lot of time outdoors with a book, so I had a wonderful summer, thank you for asking. How was yours?"
I, too, just got done with work. I'm good! Just came back inside from running around in the pouring rain like the overgrown six year old that I am, so I'm soaked and frozen and happy as heck. :D

The way some people spell makes me wonder about their pronunciation. My CW shop, and my ping group
„Chell!“ Lys exclaimed, happy to see her friend again and also in such a promoted function. „Congrats on being prefect this year! That´s exciting news!“ she beamed. „Where´s Noodles? Frida wants to say hello, too!“ the half-elf asked, supported by a meowing black Norwegian Forestcat with a white tipped tail.
„Thanks, Effy!“ Lysandra said, blushing. „I really adore your locks! Never cut them! Yet if you want to dye them one day into a fun color, I am all game!“ she laughed and opened her bag which held an array of all colors thinkable. „All natural and ecologically sound!“ she added proudly.
[OOC] , oh! How fun! It's about to pour rain here for the remainder of the week. Yay hurricane season! LOL I finished my last 4am-4pm shift today so I plan on just relaxing at home and enjoying the weather this weekend. How about you? c:

"I had a great summer; in fact, it seems as though we had very similar ones, Effy! I read several books on magical creatures while enjoying time with my family," she returned, "My father installed a swing on the porch that's the perfect little book-nook," she said.
It wasn't until Effy pointed out Lys' hair that Chell, ever oblivious, noticed, "Oh my gosh! Lys! Your new 'do is splendid!" she grinned, "Maybe I should try something adventurous sometime..." she said, pulling at her long, brown locks, "And thank you, Lys! I hope I can make Ravenclaw proud!"
Chell knelt down to pet Frida, "Noodles is in the dorm being a little lazy kitty" she giggled, "He should be awake in a bit and ready to play!"
I spent the day in the sunshine today and got my tan on at last, and tomorrow is just going to be a lazy day. I'll probably do something fun for dinner, but we'll see what the trip to the grocery store yields before I decide on anything definitive!
„A porch for reading sounds amazing!“ Lys replied. „ I used to clamber the trees in the elven forest when I wanted to be alone. I have build some stillages there. The leaf roof gives a nice shadowed place when the summer is hot. And Frida likes to climb her trees, too.“ she added, affectionately.
„I am wondering what new subjects we´ll work on this term!“ Lys pondered, remembering her homework.
I dunno...I've been having a lot of trouble writing. =/ And it's driving me nuts because you know how fast I used to do my replies. flailing But I just...can't. I dunno what's wrong. snugs I want to, but I feel like I'm really inconsistent right now, and having trouble actually getting posts written. The words don't flow like they should.
