So I read on the Vault, that it no longer collects interest on sP. So is there much reason to put sP in the vault?

Are there times where the sP can be taken by a random event or anything like that? So having in the vault "safe guards" it?

If you keep your sP in the vault , why?

Yeah, there isn't really a reason anymore except just personal preference. I don't believe there are any random events that can take sP anymore (there used to be, but they got rid of them a while ago).

I keep a bit of sP on hand for doing quests or buying random things now and then, but otherwise I keep most of it in my vault. It's probably mostly out of habit for me, but also kind of helps keep me from making big purchases impulsively. If I have to go check how much sP I've got before buying something worth millions, it makes me think about it a bit before just blindly buying. :P

I guess it could also help prevent accidental purchases when browsing shops and stuff, if you don't have enough sP out to afford whatever you clicked on.

Thank you for the input!

I was putting a bit of sP in the Vault for back up savings, for those "I just HAVE to have items".

The extra step of having to withdrawl it does help with that "do I reallllllly need it" situations.

It's a rare RE, but Maleria will filch a random smallish amount of sP from you. I think it's like less than a few thousand, because I didn't even notice the sP was gone the first few times.

Me, if I see something is underpriced in shops I will buy a whole bunch of them. Usually I will get bored but sometimes I get in the zone and buy more than I wanted. This is why I Vault all but a working-amount of sP.

I thought they got rid of all the REs that affected sP or inventory items now?

I like to see how much sP I made from my quests that day, when I actually do them, and I've been tracking it lately because I have a goal in mind and somehow it helps me stay motivated. So I usually keep most of my sP in the vault. Sometimes if I get lazy with quests, I'll let it pile up in case I need it, or during events when I might not quest because of inventory clutter and being generally too lazy to go through everything by hand

I know Rotten Rogue doesn't steal items anymore and has been reformed, I haven't seen her in years. And I haven't seen the Tax Beast forever and the "get taxed" Achievements (which were hard to get because he was a rare RE) have been retired.

But I still do get pickpocketed by Maleria, it happened to me in April.

Myself, I like having money on-hand and money in my vault. I have a horrifyingly low self-control threshold, so being able to squirrel money into my vault kinda acts like an "out of sight, out of mind" tactic.

Usually.

I'm not sure what you mean about wasted space? You can deposit sP straight into the vault without an item to do it (and there's no limit on the number of items your vault can hold anyway)

Your vault is here or you can find it under the Personal tab at the top of the screen, or by clicking on your on-hand sP in the sidebar on the left. It holds a bunch of different currencies for around the site. sP is the only one you can't spend or use directly from the vault. This thread already lists several different reasons people like to keep sP in the vault, but you don't have to if you don't want to.

There's also a section where you can store items for safekeeping
