I've seen some people adopt out their previous Spotlight Winners and others keep them. It's just a random curiosity of mine, but...., What do you do with your Spotlight Winners?
How do you feel about them after they won?

I definitely keep them. They're special little projects that I couldn't dare to let go of. Some are original characters, some are characters from things that I'm really fond of, etc. In some cases I don't work on them much further but I train them or whatever; or I work on their treasure chests, occasionally make them new profiles and content if I'm unhappy with how it was before. Et cetera.

And sure, I could use that slot for something else, but I've already got an empty slot for whatever inspires me in the future, and by the time I have more inspiration, I'll likely have my Loyalty Box for this year. :')

I only have one own spotlight winner back from the time where you could not turn nominations off. I don't care for the spotlight so I just hid the trophy with a code and went on with my life.

I've adopted some out and kept others, just depends on the pet. The ones I adopted out have been either fan pets for things I'm not into anymore, or in one case an OC whose character I ended up dropping. The ones I've kept all still have meaning for me.

I've kept both of mine. Considering that both are based off my real life cats, and Sir Rodney is a memorial pet, I'm not getting rid of them. Their profiles are still the same, or at least somewhat. They've gotten a bit messed up from the last site code change (Princess Butterball I ended up loosing my hearts image when photobucket stopped direct linking so I had to use a similar one) and I just don't feel like trying to fix them. :(

Well, I don't treat them that differently. If I like their characters, I'll keep them and keep working on them (minor revamps and TCs). If not, I'll change names and switch them to something else entirely. I've never adopted any out though since I think people generally don't like the ones that come with trophies (trophies don't bother me though since I'm not interested in the spotlight anymore).

I only have one spotlight winner at this point....

Right now, I'll probably try adding some things to her tc. If I want to change her in the future, I'll screenshot/ backup her profile.

I want to win the spotlight with a few other pets personally. Mainly my Pokemon fan pet, my glacier tutani, and my angel zasaba.

Honestly I don't really do anything with my spotlight winners. They just...sit there. I'm not even that big on the spotlight anymore; my last winner was almost 4 years ago. But getting them spotlight ready and nominated gives me motivation to still do stuff on Subeta, so I might've left a while ago if it wasn't for that.

With some of the site changes, several of my pet profiles are absolutely broken. I did get two of my pets' profiles fixed because the user I commissioned from is still here, plus one of them is a tribute to my late dog and I absolutely wanted her profile fixed. For the others...I'm just not motivated to get them fixed. I'd honestly rather put my sP/rl currency towards my pets that still need to win than to continue working on my pets that have already won, at least for now.

I keep them .... trying to keep them as they were when they won the spotlight, but I do need to tweak a few of their profiles after the last site coding changes 😊

I have adopted several out over the years. If I get unmotivated with them and don't feel I'll do much else they'll get adopted out in favor for room to fill with new inspiration.

I keep my spotlight winners. Nearly all of my characters are OC in my or existing worlds and they are very dear to me. I don't work much on them anymore but I keep them cause they all were a lot of work and are part of me and my stories.
