I'm wondering what the value of this would be now. I'm trying to search for one (though i know I'll likely never find one). Does anyone have an idea on price?

I believe they did mention somewhere many years ago, they weren't going to re-release more. It was one of those facial/nose fixes for zombies. Back then, zombies had it rough with nose and it was the only solution. When CWs were release, they decline all type of nose/facial alteration . Slowly they release some "mask" nose CWs and then later change the whole zombie system. It's not impossible for a rerelease, they have broken their word before and gotten lots of people pissed by that. So there is a chance lol

Now as of value, I was the one who actually bought the last one for sale for about 500m years ago. I did put it for sale for a while with a 2b price tag. I had 2 people offering one is sP and other in CSC. I just decided not to sell, lie I sold it <,< . Later getting godly from the antique shop as an offer for it, which I decline also.

so the value in this item is really to allow for better looking CWs for zombies?

I'd be wary buying anything like this as everything gets re-released it's just a matter of time, could be tomorrow could be next decade just got to run the risk. If you manage to find one of the 25 that where put out that is, good luck.

Back before you could easily just remove a zombie skin, if you wanted to stay a zombie and keep access to the Alchove and Skitters's store (because he used to only sell to zombies too), you had to stay a zombie all the time. The SecondSkin was released to be a coverup for zombie skins so you could still look kind of like a human because there weren't many options for that. [item=Ghouls Choice Liquid Latex (Fair)] + recolors are the most natural-looking options for coverups, but they're patchy and don't have a nose like the SecondSkin, which had always been a big deal for people, and other items to alter your HA's nose like didn't exist.

You couldn't submit any facial features as a CW back then (and currently, the options are limited. Eyebrows can be submitted, but I don't think anything else can), but masks were allowed, so people would use those to put a nose back on their HA, like which are the CWs mentioned. They really don't have anything to do with the SecondSkin itself other than being an alternative to using it if you wanted a nose on your HA

Only 25 of the SecondSkin were ever released and staff had said there would never be more. The value currently is mainly just because of the rarity of it, though like others have said, nothing is ever truly guaranteed retired, and at this point with alternative nose-giving items and the skin system, it's not in-demand as a zombie coverup anymore.
