How to use discount cards

I just bought a 10 Percent Discount Card but I have the 15% buff atm. Do the discounts stack? Also, does the 10% card work when it's locked? I wouldn't want anything to happen to it. :(
I bought some things from the main shops and it seemed like only the 15% discount was used. So will my 10% only work when I don't have the buff? I was hoping they stacked. ^^;
Sorry for the noobie question, I should know how they work by now after so many years on Subeta but I've never owned a discount card before. Questions bolded below because I've been rambling. :p

- Do the discounts stack?
- Does the card work if it's locked in my inventory?

I have a 20% Card that is locked in my inventory so that definitely still works. (:
Not sure on the stacking part though, cannot test that.
Thanks for the reply! I just tested (the buff FINALLY wore off so I could test) and it definitely works when it's locked... just curious about the stacking because I don't THINK it did when I had the buff... but I'm curious if a programmer can weigh in on it and let me know for sure. XD
The discount cards stack with the buff, just not each other. When you get the buff, it show you have the buff's discount in a green banner. The discount card just gets a passing mention in the text above it. It's really easy to miss.

If you pay attention to 's math you can see that the discounts are not added together. Adding them together is what I think of when I see the word "stack". They are applied sequentially like what happens at a department store. The order of operations doesn't matter, the quotient will be the same no matter which discount comes first.
