I receive SSI in Vermont, through which the SSA pays. I am moving to Virginia in which the state pays. It says I have to reapply, and I just had some questions for anyone that has any knowledge about this.

Exactly when should I notify SSA I am moving? As far as I know, we are putting our house on the market and my mom wants to move us ASAP, even if we have to live somewhere else while our new home is getting done? I'm sorry, I don't know exactly what my parents are planning. I will ask them and update this as soon as possible.

Since I have to reapply, how long does it usually take? Here it took about 3 months max. What does the state of VA pay, if anyone receives SSi there. I currently receive maximum payments for an individual for SSI in VT.

How are their guidelines regarding mental health? Are they stringent in that mental health must be very bad to receive any SSI, or are they a bit more lenient? I mean obviously my mental health is pretty shit since I can hardly function in my own home, let alone in society.

To anyone wishing to know, I have major depressive disorder, panic disorder with agoraphobia, and some physical condition which may be thoracic outlet syndrome or something with my neck? Doctors still aren't sure and I haven't heard shit to get my fucking exams done.

Anyways. Sorry if I'm rambling, I'm just honestly scared out of my mind about this. Just wondering if anyone had a similar experience and if they have any advice for me.
