I just rewatched the movie* for the billionth time and got curious. I don't have the energy to make any fan pets for it right now, and I'm sure the names for my fav ghosts (Jackal and Juggernaut) are taken, but I'd love to see others' pets!

*both movies actually, but I'm referring to the remake here since, while I love the original too, the remake definitely has cooler ghosts!

I adore the remake, but I never knew there was a "old" version! I'm super excited to watch it LOL I thought about making a fan pet many times, but I never put the ideas to work because I didn't wanted to only do a tribute for 1 ghost or 1 character, so yeah, I'm yet to figure how I can do it and feel accomplished

You definitely should see the original! It's really cute, and although it's really different, there are hints of where they got the story for the remake. The only thing I don't like is they don't give much background about the ghosts or even explain what some of them are (like there's one that's just a wheel thing on fire, and I'm wondering how is that even a ghost? lol)

Hmm maybe a fan pet based on the Black Zodiac itself would work? Or the Ocularis Infernum/spell to open it (which I never have really understood, like do they have to have a thirteenth ghost or not? My fav head canon is that Dennis ended up being the Broken Heart/thirteenth ghost, so he was the failsafe. Because I like Dennis lol. ANYWAY.)

Actually I really would like to make a pet for the Juggernaut because his backstory on the DVD makes me feel sorry for him, but both his first and last name, Juggernaut, and Breaker are all taken. Phooey.

Oh man, I'm not quite sure which version I saw. It's hard to say as I've only seen it a few times when I was younger with my parents, but I know it was the same version each time. If I had to guess I'd say it was the newer version though. I do remember being terrified of Jackal though. I remember shutting my eyes any time they would show up. Now, I'm still feel terrified of them, but also slightly curious? If that makes sense. I'm a major scaredy cat so I definitely wouldn't watch it by myself, especially not right now with it being dark lol.

Yep, that was the remake! No Jackal in the original. It's from the 1960's, is black and white, and isn't actually scary to me. The ghosts are more like silhouettes than anything and there's no gore or anything. tbh I really like old horror movies better than modern ones!

Ohh okay yeah that would make sense. I like a mix of both really, just depends how it goes I guess lol. I know there for a while my parents were dead set on finding the original Beyond the Door and I think my oldest brother finally did find it and we all watched it. Can you believe that movie was banned when it first came out? It didn't scare me at all, it was just a little strange to me lol.
