I'm not a fan of summer beach vacations.. I prefer to go to beach at autumn, cause its still hot enough, but there are not too much people and I can enjoy sounds of the sea! ^^
My dream vacation is visiting Scotland. And staying there some days in small house in fields :3 Collecting herbs and enjoying nature <3

I feel you, ! Beaches are so crowded in summer you sometimes can't even hear the waves <-< Last year I went to Edinburgh during the Fringe festival and I got lost in the sheer mass of people. But the rolling hills in the Highlands are so beautiful even when it rains :3
Two years ago I've fallen in love with Ireland. I've never seen such a beautiful landscape before, and I've never been more calm and relaxed as I was between the greenest grass and the fluffiest sheep.

i have visited Wuyi Mountains in China and wouldn't mind going again. it's so beautiful and specific food and tea in that region are good. bamboo rafting would be my favorite activity especially when it doesn't rain the day before and u can see the rocks in the water. :)

This was from last year in San Juan. I stayed right on the beach and it was absolutely amazing.
New Orleans! I love architecture and they have such an eclectic mix of styles there. Plus I'd hit up all the restaurants and historical tours.

I know it's not very creative, but - can you imagine the one dressed up as Batman isn't an ordinary person, but rather a merman, a kelpie or even an alien? That would be exciting to see on your summer holidays while at the beach, wouldn't it?
