Hey everybody,

I'm trying to get a Scootle but when I tried to bond with it today. I only had a weird small thing I could click on but no Scootle. Am I doing something wrong? Because I do see everyone else getting one. [edit] I got my Scootle!

I don't know if it's different for everybody, but the Scootle was on the path in the last section of the Nature Hike for me.

Also, I've been seeing people talk about scaring it off early on. Seems some users clicked the Scootle a second time on the same day, and this makes it run off. Did you scare it at any point?

I clicked on it twice every day and was still able to adopt one today so I don't think that should change anything.

Ah I thought maybe it would impact the outcome somehow. Good to know it doesn't make a difference! :)

I scared it the first day and today I got the alert something was following me so I clicked again and got the alert it run away.

I also looked on the path of the last section and the other again but there's nothing. [edit] Random Event Aww, this little guy seems to have followed you home!

says scaring it off shouldn't make a difference, and it sounds like you've been following it right.

I'd check again tomorrow and see if it shows up. If it's not on the last section, it may be that the whole thing resets and you have to start over (can't say for sure as we're all still learning how this process works).

If you're still having issues, I'd file a ticket.

Maybe I have to look on the time I walked the path for the first time? I'm not sure if I was on a different time as the previous times when I clicked on it. Maybe it's time bound?

I do hope it will show up tomorrow without a reset haha. Thank you for your help :)

Hi Maybe it could be because of the time difference I live in as I look at the time it got released.

Um I was able to adopt mine yesterday the 17th.... was that a glitch then?

I scared the scootle off a couple days ago, by clicking on it twice. And it's not been showing up on the nature hike at all since then.

Is that a glitch for me or did I lose the chance to bond with it?

I had the chance to own one today. I clicked and it said I could take it home etc...however, it turns out you need a slot for it, and can't change an existing pet. So no snail for me then!

I got the thing for it and all but I keep trying to name it and it won't let me name it for some reason, keeps giving me the "only numbers, letters and (the types of punctuation) are allowed as names and the names I was trying to use were all within those guidelines but keeps giving me that

Yeah, it seems like there's an issue with it right now.

Cannot Adopt Scootle

A few threads have been made about it in the Problems & Bugs forum, hopefully it can be fixed soon.

I scared my snail off a few times, but it was always right where I left off :D I was able to adopt at the end of the hike (the snail has to follow you to the end of the path)

the "you scared it off" text is just to remind you that you've already clicked it that day, it doesn't mean you've set back the progress at all.
