...i apparently signed up on Subeta!

i am extremely off-and-on, so i basically don't know anyone here anymore, but i really just wanted to give a big, fat shout-out to this website, and here's why:

one day (many years ago, ancient history) a girl my age on Subeta, who lived in New Zealand (which i was pretty sure sounded like a fake country, or possibly an extension of Australia, because in America we are PROUD of not knowing geography) asked if i would give her my Glade Torrent that was up for adoption, and i did not do that, but we became friends anyway, and somehow a few months after that we started dating online, as teenagers often do, except that went so well that we didn't STOP dating online, even when she got locked out of her original subeta account, so probably it was best that i didn't give her the Glade Torrent in the end,

and when we were 19 we started visiting back-and-forth even though it was a fifteen-hour flight and we were only allowed to stay in each others' respective countries for three months at a time and our parents both thought we were gonna get axe murdered in unfamiliar territory, and THAT also went SO WELL that we DIDN'T STOP

and just about two years ago i packed up everything i owned and moved 6000+ miles away to live with her.

and now i'm working as a programmer in New Zealand (which is DEFINITELY a fake country, now that i live here) and i just submitted my full residency application two days ago so i can keep living here indefinitely, and it's ALL because of how nice the art for the glade torrent is (and because of the old friend who originally introduced me to Subeta when i was fifteen because there were cooler pet colors than on Neopets)

SO: thank you to everyone who has kept this website going, because it feels very magical to have the ability to log on after a decade and still send flowers on vesnali to my girlfriend, and it turns out that sometimes when you are 16 years old you can start PMing someone on subeta because their pets are cool and it actually matters and pretty soon they CAN'T GET RID OF YOU and you end up living in Middle Earth and you will never be able to get a decent burrito for $8 again, but you are so in love you almost don't mind that,

and that is my success story. thanks for reading!

this is sooooooooooooo gay and it freaks me out how ive also been on subeta 11 years !!!!!! our subeta-versaries are old enough to plan their own playdates now
