NATIONAL SUPERHERO DAY

National Superhero Day is observed annually on April 28. This is a day to honor superheroes, both real and fictional. Batman, Superman, Captain America, Wonder Woman, Iron Man, Hulk and Spiderman are just some of the superheroes whose names we recognize. Even though they are fictional, these superheroes are great role models for our children. They serve and protect while fighting evil. Our real-life superheroes may not have super powers or wear capes, but they are also great role models who serve and protect while fighting evil. So today, the day is about honoring all the superheroes in our lives -- both fictional and the real-life -- who give their all every day.

I chose Wonder Woman because one, she’s pretty xD. Two, she’s the only female in the fictional super heroes listed and although woman are always regarded as inferior she shows she could be just like the males who are superior and dominant by holding a sword or a whip and saving people. If I could be a superhero it would be Raven from Teen Titans.

She is a character that I share a lot of similarities with in regards to emotions and connections with people. She is also a very strong empath which is both an advantage and a curse, something I deal with by being naturally hypersensitive to people around me (it means I will feel other people's emotions deeply both good and bad, not that I am easily "triggered"). And she fights the inner evil within her which is very hard to do. She is, overall, a superhero I can admire for both her strengths and her weaknesses.

For my super hero I chose to do my mom. She doesn't have a lot of makeup on because who has time to get yourself all dolled up when you have to get your kid ready for school. Oh no she forgot her lunch box in car. Well better turn around and bring it to her. My mom is a super hero because she does everything for me without concern for herself. Isn't that what real super heroes are made of? Outfit Not Found

I started to make wonderwoman, then moved onto making capt america.... while doing this I thought of my father, my superhero. He fought in the Korean war as a marine. By the time I came along his time in the armed forces was over, but the stories remained. Now stories are all i have left of him, cancer took him from us in 2010. I think all members of the armed forces are the real life superheroes, so I made an HA to reflect just that.

I struggled coming up with a hero to recreate for this challenge... So, it may seem silly, but one of my favorite books when I was a kid was The Adventures of Captain Underpants. It includes classic themes such as creativity, imagination, and friendship - and also the important lessons of standing up for what you believe in and not taking life too seriously.  Outfit Not Found
