I am interested in History, and here's why.

What feels like ages ago, I applied for a pet named Story. As you might be able to tell from my username, I like literary names. :D But more than that, this pet was going to tie a lot of the overarching story I have for my pets together. Unfortunately, her owner decided not to adopt her out after all, which left a hole in my plans. I haven't been able to satisfactorily fix it since.

I believe that History can fill this hole. Because history is definitely not the same as story, the difference in the meaning of his name may even enhance his role. I'm a verbose person, but let's see if I can succinctly tell you what that role is.

Hiverete is the name of the land that most of my pets reside in, with the exception of the pets in the "strictly fan pets" section. It is a fairyland a la Oz, Equestria, Narnia, etc.

In my story, Cia is an alternate universe version of me. She is better than me at actually writing down her stories and characters. Hiverete is her creation, and she has a whole notebook filled with the characters that reside in them.

[pet not found] One of these characters is Ghostwriter, who lives in the Hiveretian city of Literatura. Ghostwriter has a special muse-like superpower that allows her to imbue writing instruments with "inspiration", so that whenever someone touches them, they instantly lose their inhibitions and are able to write creatively whatever pops into their heads. One day, quite by accident, she gives a typewriter too much of her power - so much so that it starts writing by itself. In a series of coincidental incidents, Ghostwriter doesn't notice that it is spitting out pages and pages; doesn't notice that it completes a manuscript; and accidentally sends the manuscript to the publisher. The publisher doesn't really pay attention to the book which somehow manages to get published - just one copy - and then distributed to the biggest of the Literaturan libraries. (I know that sounds like a lot of plot holes, but it's actually intentional to make it all seem like it happened by "accident".)

[pet not found] Back to Cia. She's still outside of the world of Hiverete, but she's noticing strange things happen in her notebook. Characters change from how she describe them. Some go missing all together. Worlds seem slightly off, and dialogue happens that she didn't write. As she's scanning her notebook trying to figure out what is going on, a large ink blot appears on one page. It grows larger and larger until it is impossibly bigger than the notebook, spilling into Cia's room. All at once, she's swimming in it. There's a large whirlpool-like current emanating from the area of the notebook, and it sucks Cia in. That's when she realizes three things. (1) Hiverete is real. (2) She is inside Hiverete. (3) She no longer has any control over it.

If chosen to adopt, I will transform History into a female. I like that he has advanced training and reading because I train and read to all of my pets, and this puts him ahead of the game. As for color/species, I probably will not leave him as a Storm Paralix, but I do not know what I would ultimately want to make him, because I have a hard time imagining what the character of my story looks like. I do know that I will create an overlay that shows writing tattooed all over her body.

I just came back to Subeta after a school-related hiatus this past week, so my account is a bit of a mess, but feel free to snoop around. On my profile, I'm trying to keep track of where I left off and where I want to go from here.

I will keep reading books to him! As you know, I love reading books to pets -- Ennui is 25 on the books HST. I will also continue to train him and battle with him.

As well as Ennui, my primary battler, I am also training Gixustrat, Caitastrophe, Gojira, and Cait to be secondary battlers ... and a lot of other t7-8 pets.

Putting in an application for History. It just seems apropos because I’m all about history like seriously, I am. A lot of my pets are history based.

I.e cuneiform is a code talker Constable when he won the the pet spotlight years ago( the profile has since broken and i haven’t gotten around to fixing it)was a miner during the San Francisco gold rush. Anastasiy is the owner of a ship building company during WWII based in Seattle.

But yeah, on a more practical note. I have a bachelors in history and I’m working on a second masters in European Studies with a history concentration so. So, yeah I’m a history nerd. Hell, even my username is history based since I named myself after D-Day( the battle of Normandy during World War II).

As for what I plan to do, I’m still thinking of something but it’ll come. Maybe I’ll just make him a ode to history. Also, heads up that color and species might be changed.
