I'm not actually sure if this goes here, I apologise in advance. :/
It used to be that if you edited a post that it showed a time stamp of when it was edited. However when the forums were super revamped, it was removed and I was wondering why? Mainly because this was a very helpful thing, especially in selling/cw threads as some people do take advantage of it not appearing anymore, then editing their post to ask for things after someone after them asked for it. And since we no longer have a way to tell if a post was edited or not, it makes it difficult to figure out whose editing, who actually asked for it, etc.
Is this a feature that might ever come back in the future?

Hmm I always wondered why this was removed... can't even guess the reason behind the decision.
I was wondering as well, maybe it was an oversight when we went to the new forums and it was never programmed back in for some reason?

I'd like to see this come back as well.
I asked about it a couple times and it seemed like something that would be fixed, but apparently not.
I'm pretty sure it was specifically asked about several times when the forum was being worked on, and nothing ever came of it. It took quite a while to get post numbers added back in, too for whatever reason. Just one of those Subeta things, I guess. o/

I'd also really like this feature back. I don't know if it's still true, but a few years ago when I had a problem with another user I was told that staff cannot see what the previous 'versions' of a post are / were. And while that's fine, it's frustrating as a user to not know if someone HAS edited a post at all.
Also in the last year I've also had people take advantage of editing their post and there being no edit line during things I've asked for NO edits on =/ it's very frustrating and feels a little scammy, but there is no way for me to be able to report it or do anything about it =/
Definitely would love to see it back. As said, some people work around rules and it would be nice not to be able to do that.
Support this! Definitely a feature I miss, would be good to see it return if possible.
I wouldn't like to see this feature back. As someone who is nitpicky about my posts, it would be kind of embarrassing for everyone to see how often I edit them.
If there was a way to limit it to just the 'Subeta Commerce' forum, then I would be fine with that. I can definitely see why it would be needed there, just not everywhere else.
Yeah I'm in full support of this option! I mean it hasn't happened to me (I hope) but I can definitely imagine the potential for people to edit their posts to ask for more items/claim more slots especially when it comes to the commerce part of subeta and that would be unfair :(
Also this is totes a minor af thing but it would also be pretty useful in like buying/selling threads to see when the first post was last updated (since now it only shows when the first post was MADE which could be like like freaking 2016 or something)
A 3rd thing even more minor thing is that in event threads like masq/survival etc it could help us keep track of our dance counts with a timestamp idk like a 'last edited' kinda thing? Cause now I have to continuously update the times in these kinds of threads if I'm using the same post
Full support. Great for threads in the art/graphics markets and advertising markets especially.
I went to go see how long I've been using my buy/sell cw board and it's.... over five years old LMAO.......... I don't normally pay attention to dates on those kinds of forums, but I can only imagine how confusing it is to be pinged to a board from 2012.
I agree with . That would be super handy to know as well.

Honestly I would LOVE to see this come back because a few people purposely go to selling boards, post really quick, and then edit in with everything they want even AFTER others have claimed for it and its just skeevy. I've seen some people do it repeatedly because they know they'll get away with it :( It makes me not want to put up for sale boards because of those people taking advantage of it.
I support bringing it back as well. :)
I'd love to see this come back. I thought it was something being worked on as well.
It was really helpful for commerce boards (buying/selling/r200/custom wearable threads) but also for contests/events/raffles/etc. Like...it's so easy now for people to just delete a post or change it and since staff can't even see it's been edited, there's no recourse to report someone.
I also wish there was some sort of way for staff to get a record of changes made (I have no idea how much programming and storage would be required for it, but like...gdocs does it and it's super helpful and also seems more relevant for staff to be able to have something restricted to their access that could let them know for sure whether someone violated rules/engaged in threatening behavior etc - because right now if you report a post, the post link doesn't even take them to the right one, and unless you screenshot everything you see, you've got no evidence if anything scammy or otherwise bad has gone down).
