I send gifts like that all the time. Drills is forever asking me to send a gift to another user, so I end up sending random junk to strangers. I'll pick one of the cheaper items in my inventory, pick a user who's recently bought something from my shop, and send it off anonymously with no note.

I suppose whoever it was (not me, I checked) could have found you a variety of ways. Maybe it was a friend or someone in a forum group you're in?
