I'm new here, and just wanted to finally say hello and introduce myself!

I'm Shadow. I enjoy many online things and computer games and what not.

My favorite food is potatoes. I have a cat that I love dearly, and a dog that's acceptable. But he's my dog, so he stays.

Potatoes are amazing, honestly. Also, if you were to post photos of your cat (assuming that's allowed?) I would not complain.

Oh! I will have to see where I can possibly put my cat. =P I haven't tried posting any pictures anywhere yet. I have a zillion, so picking them will be, of course, the hardest part. =)

Favorite form of potato is probably french fries. Cliche, but they're easy to eat. ^_^ And you can smother them however you like and they don't get worse.

Hello and welcome to Subeta! Potatoes are so delicious, I really like french fries, curly fries, and hash browns <3. Taco Bell had some nacho fries a while ago, but they won't be back until this summer I guess? I heard they sold around 53 million orders of them!

I wanted to chime in and say that I love French fries, too! I could eat them every day if I really wanted to. 😆 (But I try not to, lol.) I also love potato chips--which I could also eat every day if I really wanted to, lol.

French fries are totally one of those foods I have a bottomless pit of a stomach for. Does nothing to help my health, but boy could I munch on those all day, everyday whether full or not. :P

Those nacho fries were AMAZING. With or without the cheese. sigh Didn't know they were discontinued until summer. That's sad. :(

Lol, same here! Whenever I go out for fast food, I'll get full with hamburgers and whatnot--but if there are French fries, I can keep eating them forever, lol. 😆

Lol! 😆 That's me, too. Sometimes, I'll try to resist, but if someone near me gets them, I just fail, lol. Like, someone will say, "You wanna get fries to share?" And I'll be like, "No, I shouldn't..." And then when they get them, I end up helping myself to a lot some. 😆

lol!!! Um...I warn people they may want to get their own, cause I will eat both our shares. lolol My friends have learned to get their own, and then give me whatever they don't want. I could eat fries as a meal and be content. :P

We would dominate any fry eating contest. ^_^

Lol! My fiancé has come to learn to be careful of sharing fries with me, too. 😆 He'll order some, and while he's eating his main meal or looking at his phone, I'll keep picking at his fries until I've finished half of them, and then I'll be like, "Oh, no, I can't stop eating them...THEY'RE SO GOOD." And he'll look and be like, "Omg, I gotta start eating some before you eat them all!" 😆

ahahhah omg!! That's how my husband is!!! He has to move his plate or eat his fries first or something. Cause they are not safe with me around. lol

howdy , I am also pretty new and like potatoes, I tried to grow some once as well, they grew pretty well. also hello everyone else!

I love it here!!! Thank you!! So much good stuff. And good people. And I hear you on the cat business...my cat doesn't always love me. But I figure that's what makes cats so great. They make up their own darn minds.

Hi, !! Welcome to you too! I hope you're having as wonderful of a time as I am here! That's so cool you tried growing potatoes. Did they taste good too? I can't imagine a potato tasting bad. :P

unfortunately we had to leave to visit some family so we had some one else take care of them, they did not do a good job : (. that plus 4 day of rain straight with no stop kinda destroyed them. but next time they'll have my total attention!

but while they were growing the had these nice and big green lovely stalks and leaves, it was nice to see them grow taller and bigger as time went by, I think they got to be about 12 inches tall before the rain came and bent their stalks, I used little sticks to straighten them out.

even though we didn't get to eat them, it was pretty fun to see them grow and water them.

Aw!! That's really unfortunate. :( I'm so sorry to hear that. Poor taters. Drowned and poor care. :(

How long do you have to let them grow before they're ready for noms?

i assume the leaf part is just there for the potato to soak in all that good sun light and not edible, also it seems like it takes some time for them to grow, maybe a few months or more, so it is a but of work. the potato of course you can eat once it's done. :)

the only thing I ever tried to grow before were some peas so these were turning out pretty good, anyway it's getting warmer again and I still have a few potatoes left i can grow.

although it seems that some wasps have decided to invade my house and look like they are making a nest outside my door?.will have to take care of that first.

Ah, okay, wasn't sure if it was like beets where you can eat the greens. ^_^ Wow, that's a long time to grow! But probably worth it. :D

Peas!! That's so cool! Like snap peas or snow peas? I'm glad you still have a few left you can grow. When do they grow best?
