After 11 years on site, I still have found approximately 0 bugs in Oofa Fruits. Does anyone know what the drop rate is?

In this latest push for the achievement, I've fed a couple hundred Fruits in the last week. I just got finished stuffing all my pets to max with some nice Oofa Fruit pie. And any bugs? Of course not.

I have somehow managed to find three in five years, none of those were in the last two years or so. I get that not everything is supposed to be easy and there are some things we should earn and there's no rush etc etc etc, but the drop rate is really pretty bad, whatever it is. It could do with a nudge towards being more common, or something a little more complicated where you are more likely to find one depending on how many fruits your pet(s) have eaten.

Well that's 5 bugs found! I don't know how many I've fed to my pet so far. I'm doing, at minimum, 10 a day. The drop rate is frustratingly low.

[Edit]6/1/18 So I have 9/10 bugs found. The last one is getting increasing frustrating to find. I don't know how many I've fed to my pet, but I can guesstimate. My latest push started in March, I believe, and this board was made after a few weeks on 4/4. So let's assume it's been 11 full weeks (at least.) I did my battle quests every day, so my pet needed to be fed every day. I tried to keep her above 0, so at minimum, we're talking 10 fruits a day, but probably closer to 15. There were also a few days at the beginning where I maxed out my other 9 pets, so those days are an extra 90 each. We're looking at around 1000 to 1400 at the very least. Which means the drop rate is maybe .63-.86%.

Please just put me out of my misery. I've spent so many hours playing slots, and spent so much money buying from the shops. I just want to be done!
