Hi, everyone! My name is Maeve and I've been playing Subeta since 2012. I played for a year or two until my computer died, and never really got a chance to pick it back up. I'm happy to finally be back! This is actually my first time posting on the forums at all. I was way too shy to do it when I first started playing, haha.

Anyway, a little about myself! I love to watercolor paint and make jewelry. I also like singing! I used to do opera but now I'm finishing up school so I can teach English abroad. I'm learning Korean so if anyone would like to practice together please let me know!

I'm a big nerd and I play a lot of video games and watch a lot of anime. Some of my favorite games are Skyrim, Dragon Age, Yume Nikki, and Stardew Valley. My top three favorite anime are probably Serial Experiments Lain, Ghost in the Shell, and Neon Genesis Evangelion.

I've pretty much forgotten everything I used to know about the game so please be patient with me, haha! I am really excited to be a part of this community and I hope that we'll all have a lot of fun together!

I'm teaching English abroad, too! I've been teaching in Japan for nearly 5 years now. (But in August, my final year's work contract ends, so I'll probably be heading back home then.) So I assume you'll teach in Korea then?

Nice! Many people here love games and anime, so you can feel right at home. 😀 I enjoy games and anime as well, but I haven't played many games or watched much anime in the past couple years now. I tend to like RPGs and puzzle games, and my favorite anime include Inuyasha, Dragon Ball, and Conan.

I hope you enjoy exploring the site and re-familiarizing yourself with things--as well as discovering a lot of new things! 😁

It's so cool to see an abroad teacher on here! You got it, I'll be teaching in Korea and I'm thinking about teaching in Japan a few years later. What age range do you teach?

I love Dragon Ball! Who is your favorite character? Mine is Bulma. I used to watch Inuyasha all the time when I was younger but I've forgotten a lot about it, haha. I mainly just remember thinking Sesshomaru was really cute!

Japan is a great place for living and working abroad; I'm sure you'd love it if you decide to come here afterward! 😊 I typically teach junior high school students (12-15 years old), but I occasionally teach at elementary schools, too. How about you? Or are you waiting to find out what age group you'll teach?

Aww, Bulma is great! 😀 Hmm, I'd have to say my favorite character is Goku. He always cracks me up with his naivety, lol. 😆 Omg, I used to go gaga over Sesshomaru! ...actually, I still kind of do, lol. I agree: he's really cute! 😉

I'm not sure what age I'll end up teaching but I'd be pretty happy with any age group! My friend teaches elementary students in Korea and the stories she tells me about them are so funny! Are junior high students your favorite age range to teach?

Goku is precious! I love how casual he is about his crazy strength, like it's no big deal! Have you read any of Akira Toriyama's other stuff? He has a series called Dr. Slump that's a lot like original Dragonball.

I love the masquerade! I've been looking through all the things you can buy with your cogs and it's overwhelming @-@ it's fun to see everyone in their fancy ball outfits!

That's good to hear! 😊 Umm, I'd say they're kind of tied with elementary school students. I love my students ❤, but at their age, they go through all sorts of things (namely puberty, lol), so I always notice a change in them from bubbly 1st-year students to quiet and self-conscious 2nd- and 3rd-year students--and it can be like pulling teeth when trying to get them to speak even simple English that they already know by heart. 😓 I love the energetic and carefree nature of elementary school students more so, but I imagine it can get tiring to teach them every day, lol. 😆

Dr. Slump is really cute! It's about a neet-ish kind of guy who's a genius inventor. He makes a robot girl and pretend's she's his daughter and sends her to school so he can test how well she can pass as a human. That...doesn't go well! She's a LOT like Goku and has tons of robot abilities that she uses without caring if anyone sees. Somehow the whole town thinks she's just a really strong normal girl?! Anyway, it's really funny (and heartwarming) so I definitely recommend it!

I do! ❤ So it makes me sad to think about leaving in August. 😢 There were a few small bumps in the road here and there, but I've loved living and working here overall! I'll always consider this place to be my second home. 😊
