How does the event work? I got the general gist of things (one dances with others) and have even found the "Dance" buttons under forum avatars. However, I don't know where Steamwork trinkets for steampunk pets are found, what the Subeautique Invitation is for, how does one get their own dance link, what happens if two dances are requested at once, etc, etc. Instructions, please? :(

steamworks trinkets and lounge trinkets are created out of thin air when you dance with someone.

Neither trinket is necessary to get a Steamworks pet. The plans can be bought from other users sometimes cheaper than retail, but the retail store for plans is in Ziara City. The yunium ore can be bought from users or found from Coda Caves when they are open. The mold can be restocked and the melting kettle at Sable Smithy. Or you can buy a premade key with a ton of trinkets from one of the really early previous years in the Menagerie.

A subeautique invitation gets you in the door of Subeautique, in Centropolis. Each invitation allows you to buy one item. As long as you have one activated, you can browse there as long as you like.

The ladies of the Atebus Historical Society and the NPC Gossips take dance cards very seriously. You will not have the problem of simultaneous dances ever, it simply is not allowed.

To clarify a bit on the multiple dances at once thing: when you click on the link in the sidebar events to accept or deny your dances, each dance invitation will show up in the order it was received in. So you can have more than one waiting at a time, and it will process them in order as you accept or deny each one.
