There has been a trend in manufacturing shitty EMMC storage instead of SSD. I'm often wondering if I should turn my faith to a Chromebook, but I'm feeling insecure about making such move. My desktop isn't the best thing either, but it gets the job done. I wish to have a laptop, but most of them are expensive and contains garbage bloatware. I mean: Why buying a computer if you can hardy update your Window as it is?

I feel like we are most often getting shit for our bucks. I've purchased a brand new Asus 11' inch with 4 GB of ram and 32 EMMC storage ($300). Ended up returning the poor thing. It had trouble opening Google. Come the fuck on dude ...

yeah like 1 TB HDD on a laptop which also has SSD and I've seen reviews where people can't even store anything on their HDD because it's not recognized so they're left with precious little SSD

at least, you can uninstall bloatware, sure, it takes up a lot of time, but the crappy specs are what kills me

or the idea it will overheat to death in a few months and I have no way of knowing that because reviews tend to be straight out of the box or if there is a major issue :X

This! It's basically lies as soon as you open the box. Most laptops have crappy specs, unless you are willing to go over $500 ++ Overheating is a more of less recuring issue. I know that a lot of companies are aiming at fanless devices, but you cannot do that for gaiming! You're a few months in and you laptop is as slow as molasse.

Pretty sure it was a very sad Celeron. I was looking for a fanless, highly portable device. LOL NOPE! Hardly worked for the basic stuff (browsing the web, Office, Youtube, Netflix).

I have no money and no time for a console but I get the point ;___; The struggle is real.

my previous HP had major heating issues, literally could get burns from it AND I wasn't using it as a gaming laptop then so can you imagine HP trying to do gaming laptops? lol they have a line called omen by hp, which is pretty self-deprecating if you ask me :P

I too, would like to buy a laptop, as a second computer/backup to my iMac for the portability factor and so I could have both a PC and a Mac for different things. But I dun wanna spend $1500 for a gaming laptop just to have decent graphics.

YES the other things must be eating away at the supply of cards T_T if I had any confidence in laptops lasting longer, I would be more open to dropping that amount of cash but I'm worried tech is going the way of clothes where it's all about the upgrade to newest technology asap and quality is nonexistent

have you considered chromebooks or browser laptops for portability factor? probably no decent graphics there but not sure, I haven't looked into that niche much
