because im worried, as the pets seem to get hungry easily and im trying to save up for stuff

nothing happens, it will just say 0/10. However, you will not be able to use this pet to battle until its fed again. It doesn't die or anything though.

an inexpensive way to feed your pets (if you want to) and make sure that they are kept fed is to check them into the Lakeside Resort in Veta.

I only feed any pet when I want to battle it. The others don't get fed unless there's an easy throwback pet to battle and I want more pets to battle the throwback challenger.

My main pet, Foxie is the one I use for food achievements. So when there's new food, I feed him that before he battles. If the food is really expensive, I simply buy cheap food from the bakery and give him that. You only need one or two items for a day's battling. A pet can eat the same food more than once.
