So on the last day of Survival, in the early morning, I paid to get my last zombie skin. I've been working a lot of crazy extra hours this past week, think thirteen-ish hours every day, and was honestly just super happy that I'd thought to check Subeta again before the event ended. I had to leave for work shortly after that, and didn't think about it again until last night, when I realized that I never got infected, even though I paid for the virus. It had all day to infect me, and I was under the impression that so long as you paid for it, you didn't need to be bitten in order to actually get infected, it's just that the infection would hit faster if you were bitten. So.... now I'm wondering if that skin is ever going to bloom for me this year, or if I'm just out of luck. =(

Thank goodness. Thank you to everyone who helped try to set my mind at ease!
There's still a period between paying for the skin and actually being infected. I ran into nearly the same thing the lsat day of Survival, had to go beg on the forums for someone to bite me until I showed as infected. I think it also mentioned that it takes awhile to kick in, but that's an extremely long period.... If I were in your shoes, I'd file a ticket about getting my sP back, I guess. Well I mean technically I wouldn't, because I'd probably forget, but that's what I suggest you do, at the very least.
That doesn't seem very fair. =( It had to have 18hrs to bloom into the first level of the virus at least, with how early I was online, but I had to be at work. It seems like if you pay for it, you should be able to get it. Do you think it's possible that it's still just blooming? I have no idea how long that 'waiting period' is.
It can take over three days for you to become infected if you weren't bitten.
I've spoken to two people who said that they paid for a strain, got infected way after Survival, and their strains proceeded as normal except that it took a long time for the infection to show up. You might still have to wait.
I just got this notice an hour or so ago

. . . Someone told me I have two faults. I don't listen and . . . some other stuff they were rattling on about.
In previous years, if you weren't infected by the end, but you at least signed up for something, you'd see your infection in about three days (just like what happened to ). I don't think you need to worry.
thank you all so much, that's great news!
Hmm, I paid for mine on the last day and got the notice. Started seeing signs of it and then it disappeared completely. Kind of forgot about it till I saw this topic. Guess I need to file a ticket.
Do you recall which strain you paid for? If it was a shorter strain, then it could be done already and became a skin.
It was one of the new ones, dry. So not short.
